Caroline POV
I awoke to the feeling of suffocation and pain as it coursed through my whole body. My eyes fluttered open, 4 wires wrapped around my neck, each one connected to a different wall so that if I moved my head would go flying off my body. In no way could I heal from such a injury. Lifting my eyes I saw Erika, letting the doctor draw blood from her in large tubes as Godric sat watching her like a hawk. In mere moments she was pale as a ghost and the doctors and Godric stood, walking over to the lab in the adjacent room.
"What....what's going on? Why aren't you running for help?" I could only whisper, the cords cutting into my next ever so slightly with every word.
"Because if I leave they'll cut you up before I even make it out of the building...maybe down the street considering my speed. They think they can make the cure from my blood." she rolled her hues before sitting back in her chair and closing her eyes. She looked like death, then again the one person it seemed she trusted was acting against her. "Caroline...My real father sentenced me to death...now Godric? Do I seem that evil." she gave a weak laugh before standing and walking over to my cell and it's contraption.
"Stop." Godric's voice boomed as he walked into the room and glared Erika. Like a retreating mouse she sat down quietly and glared into his icy blue hues. "She will be released when it is time."
"Here you are...harming someone...can't say I'm not proud of you...then again you swore you would always protect me."
"I am...from yourself Erika." Godric sat, staring at Erika whose' glare never wavered.
"I will watch you burn just like my father...my brother...my son." She spat the words in his face before turning her eyes towards me before lowering them. Godric merely stood and wandered over to the cell looking at me with those faux kind eyes.
"You were merely collateral Miss Forbes. Just like your mother was to Cancer." I nearly snapped and slightly tugged my body towards him, yet halted the moment it cut deep into my neck, carefully reentering myself between the thin wire.
"Rot in hell."
"I will once this cure is found." He kept his emotionless expression before turning back to Erika for a moment then proceeding into the lab once more. Erika glanced at me before gnawing on her lip and closing her eyes, mumbling something under her breath, I could feel the wires loosening slowly, yet didn't move an inch yet, my eyes locked on watching Godric and the other men. Erika only opened her eyes the moment I knew I could free my head, yet she shook hers signaling me not to leave.
"Godric...can you at least give the poor girl some blood. She'll pass out and slice her own neck off." I heard him grumble as he walked over, unlocking the cell and well...the best way I could put it is he unleashed hell. Erika sprang up looking to me, in mere moments I ducked and tried to pass Godric. The window of time opened the moment she ripped into his neck drinking like a ripper before shoving him away and grabbing me. In a blur we were outside and she was screaming at me to run. "Go to Niklaus... my boys...warn my boys." Like that I was gone.
Erika POV
I turned to face my maker, my fangs barred and golden eyes glaring at the door. I felt my witch side grow with power, for once the witches were on my side. After all destroying vampires would ruin the balance and witches were always trying to protect such a precious gem. There he was my maker storming out of the building, the blood of the doctors on his lips, obviously fueling his rage and strength.
"You dare go against me Erika?! You and what army? Army of witches?! Ha!" Like a fly he tossed me into the nearest tree, my strength aided me as I stood back up and rushed him digging my claws into his neck, the witches suffocating his strength. My hand against his throat slowly draining him of the strength he had, flowing through me to the dead witches into nature as the storm overhead began to rain down hail and lightening.
"I dare go against you....you stand for the people trying to destroy me! MY family! I will not let them fall. I will not let them down as I have done before. It's funny it's all making sense now..." I could hear myself talking, yet my body was moving itself, the witches were in control as I had freely given it to them. My body guiding me closer to Godric as the magic bound him to the ground. I flicked my wrist up, grabbing his skull. "Godric you are sentenced to the other side." That was it. The blood dripped from my ears and nose as the witches chanted a spell and Godrics nearly dissolved. His ashes flew into the wind like stars in the night sky, sparkles of blue and white. Then they left. The voices in my head and the strength in my body gave out all at once. My weakened frame falling onto the cobblestone ground. The rain poured down, cooling down my worn body as my eyes drew closed.
"Mom! Come on. Wake up. Don't.. Don't go" I could feel Josef tapping my face, Alexander grabbing my hand, and my dear Niklaus holding my head up. In a way I wished death had finally gotten a hold of me. Maybe it was the possibility of peace that made my heart so welcome to its embrace. It didnt come for me though. I felt my mind slip away from consciousness, all the energy drained from my body and the welcoming embrace of my sons. Then it sunk in slowly like a aching pain...I had lost my maker. The one person I had ever trusted. Betrayed me and dead.
