Erika POV
I could feel the sun baking my skin it was my darkest moment. Yet I had the power to change it right now. Raising my head I looked out into the desert my mouth ajar yet no works pasted my lips. In the distance was a man I knew so well yet in this moment he was a stranger in every sense."Hel...help..." I began crawling along the sand, my dark clothes caught his eye and he began walking over at a remarkably fast pace. "Th...thank you...." He kneeled down and bit into his wrist forcing it to my cracked lips. It was gross in every way, yet some how it was quenching my thirst and giving my strength.
" Do you want to live forever? Long enough to see all your enemies fall before you?" My eyes got wide before I nodded and moved his wrist away. "I will be your father....brother....son. I am Godric..."
"Yes....yes I want to live...my name is Amunet..." Before I got another word out my neck was snapped and awoke alone in the desert. I could feel the thirst, would I ignore though? I had the choice to change my entire life. To die here in this dream. Wandering towards the pharoph's home, my own home, I snatched a begger off the street sinking my young fangs and completing my transition with blood. I didn't kill them though, I wanted to save the wolf inside for something much more important.
"Rah!" I hollered walking into the temple, there he sat on his thrown, son on his lap like a proud father. His eyes widened in horror as I walked through his guards, tossing them like flies until finally I stood in front of him. "I sentence you to death... I don't forgive you...and I would never take back killing you..." I took the boy from him, handing him to the guard too afraid to move before returning my attention to the man whom caused it all and used my blade to take my first life. His head rolled and body fell as the wolf inside of me caught the scent of first blood. My blood began to boil as the first part of a hybrid was born. Then just like that it all disappeared.
"You don't have to do this." I looked around in the darkness, it was my grandmother whom I was named after standing right in front of me. The woman who had taught me magic. "You don't have to seal your fate again Amunet. You can be free like me...no more darkness." A slight smile crossed my lips before I shook my head.
"I have my family to protect. Though I'm sure my time will come..."
" You still have trials to go...after all it is the trial of you. When you return the darkness will be strong."
" It always is Amunet..." I mumbled closing my eyes. I could hear James calming the human me down in the darkness. Willing me to wake up once more and be his wife. "Promise me you'll try and keep them safe..."
"I promise... Erika there is something I want to tell you...they brought her back." My body went numb I felt heartless in mere moments.
"Amunta... My daughter... How?"
"I'm not sure but it's been weeks since I lost contact with her over here."
"Send me back...help me get back all I need is my magic." I looked to her and she gave a nod offering her hand to which I accepted. All the knowledge flowed back into my body, the pain manageable for me until finally it went dark. I opened my eyes feeling the cold metal against my cheeks, the Augustine party. Being strong enough to flee and an action I would not change, ruthless as it may be I left them both just like last time. Damon and Enzo to rot for as long as it took them to get free. Once my feet touched the grass I sunk through the ground into the apartment I had with James in the very early fourties. I felt my heart in my throat as I slowly walked towards the bedroom, pushing the door open to see him asleep beside a human. My fangs lengthened, anger and sadness filling my chest like fire. His eyes slowly opened to which I shook my head and walked out. I could feel his hand on my arm before I tossed him across the room with a flick of magic which was at its strongest in my entire life. Truth be told if I had originally known I would have only seen him one more time for nearly a century I would have stayed. Tried to work it out in that moment. This dream didn't change a thing though as I turned on my heels and walked towards the elevator, the doors opened to nothingness to which I embraced. Vampire...wolf...and witch.
My eyes shot open, the amulet shattering like glass making a loud thump as its pieces hit the floor. I glanced in the mirror a relieved breath as my blonde waves and blue eyes stood out. James blurred in as did Niklaus. James stopped dead in his tracks seeing me before yanking me into a hug.
"Don't do that again...please."
"I have no intention to even consider it." A laugh passed my lips as did his before we parted. " My grandmother...she told me that my daughter is alive...that she's back. If Augustine has her god only knows what they're doing to her James. I need to find her....on top of taking care of Augustine."
"How old is she?" Niklaus chimed in as I shrugged.
"She died when she was 28 that was old age back then in Egypt ...she died of natural causes so I don't know how she looks now completely....or if it was all just a crazy dream." I sighed and sat down. "I need to rest... I'm sorry." Niklaus nodded slowly before exchanging a look with James as he closed the door.
"I knew coming back into your life wouldn't be boring" he chuckled as he laid down and sighed, closing his eyes. "There is a lot you haven't told me... Why?" I laid on my side and narrowed my hues at him. "About you... Amunet. Erika your back was covered in scars and fresh cuts. That you were blind and deaf...Why didn't you tell me about any of it?" He opened his eyes looking to me before standing and wandering to the window.
"Because it wasn't me. When I was a child I was happy. Perfectly happy until my mother had a boy." A huff of a laugh passed my lips. "I was five I didn't know I was so hated. I got that necklace on my 10th birthday and from then till when I died at 21...my father's old age wishes were to make sure I didn't take the throne. I didn't know I was going to be left to die in the desert. All I could feel the was the sand hitting my skin cause of the wind and the sun burning me. With the little vision I had all I could see was the the sky and land..." I got a nauseous feeling in my stomach and closed my eyes. "I didn't ask for any of it..." Closing my eyes I felt arms wrap around me and before long sleep embraced my mind.
