I practicly skipped into the school, Ruff and Tuff where bickering and Heather was talking to a nervous FishLegs, Snotlout inspected himself with a small mirror."Hey!" I heard a thick, Scottish accent snap me out of my daydreaming. Merida and Elsa walked along with, just as exited as me. Today was the first day that we'd be working on our forms."I. Am. So. EXITED!!!" Elsa squeled loudly."How does your voice handle all the screaming you do?" Hiccup asked, joining the group. Jack came on the other side of Elsa. I smiled and linked my hand with his. Elsa scowled at my boyfriend."Want a demonstartion?" She shot back sassily. His eyes widen in alarm."Gods No!" He exlaimed. We all laughed as I leaned my head on his shoulder.
We talked for a while until the bell rang."See ya guys!" Jack said as we all seperated."I dont know whos louder. Elsa or the bell" Hiccul said with a sign. "Hey! Thats my girl your insulting!" Jack exlaimed. Hiccup raised a challening eyebrow, Jack fell silent.
"Welcome! To your first day of dragon training!" The burly man,Gobber, saud as we entered a round arena. "Youll all be doing several things and then Ill decided what your weakness is and well be working on that. Everybody ready?"Gobber asked, reseaving several agrements. "Also! Well be having a supervisor." He added, gesturing to a burling man in black clothing, sitting on the outerpart of the arena.
"First up! Aim!" He explained, setting out multiple targets.
Jack went first with several others. Only a few of them actually hit the target, one of them being Jack. Black scorch marks now decorated the arena walls. He formed back, smiling at us smugly. I rolled my eyes and loosened the iron grip I had on Hunter. Walking up with the rest of the group, I formed and shot out a spine, hitting it dead in the center. Only one other person hit the target. Several others went up, Hiccup going in the last group. Everyone stared at him as he formed. I didnt really blame them. A Night Fury is the rarest dragon in existence. The strange man looked quite intrested in Hiccup. I shook it off and watched Hiccup with a small smile. A dark purple blast darted from his mouth, the target burst into flames."No ones gonna use that target for a while" Jack muttered so only I could here. I laughed. Hiccup looked at Gobber with a guilty expression, the teacher simply stared at the ask covered target."Just use that one boy" He said, pointing at another one after he shook himself out of his daze. The strange man leaned over and watched Hiccup intently. I furrowed my eyebrows but ignored it. Hiccup flicked his tail slightly, making the edges of his fins go sharp. He swung his tail, releasing a black blur. It dug into the centre of the target, sticking out the other side. It was about the shape of an axe but 2 times bigger and pitch black. It was extremely thin and looked like his scales. Everyone's eyes widen in awe."That's so COOL!!" Explained a by who was slightly shorter than me."Okay Hiccup. I think you've already nailed aim" Gobber said, gently patting Hiccups flat head. He trotted to us and formed back, wrapping an arm around my waist. I leaned onto him and rested my head against his shoulder. "I didn't know you could do that" I said, feasting my chin on his shoulder to look up at him. He smiled slightly."I only found out last night" He admitted while the remaining students slowly finished. It felt like centuries before the bell rung. Everyone scrambled out, ramming into the cafeteria doors.
Once my got my tray and seated myself next to Hiccup, the conversation began."We did speed first, What about you guys?"Heather asked, signalling to FishLegs and Tuff, Jack scoffed."Aim, but Hiccup would of nailed speed." He answered. A nod of agreement filled the table."We did strength" Snotlout answered, gesturing to Ruff. Everyone nodded again."How did that weird kid...um, Daggur? Was it? Do?" Hiccup asked cautisoly. Snotlout shrugged."He was the top of our class, but our class sucks." Snotlout said, crossing his arms. Hiccup nodded thoughtfully. I simply ignored it. The bell rang again and we headed off."Next up! Speed!" Gobber explained. Me and Jack turned to Hiccup with smug smiled."What?" He asked obliviously. I rolled my eyes."Your so gonna be at the top for speed" I said, socking him in the shoulder."Ow! Violence!" He shouted, gripping his upper arm. I giggled and waited patiently.
Jack went first, again. Every though he was a Snow wraith, quite an impressive dragon, it didn't make him fast. He ended up coming 4th."Not bad" Hiccup congratulated as Jack came back to us, out of breath. He scowled slightly and looked back at the next race,
Once that race was finished I went next. Coming 2nd. I smugly walked over to Hiccup and Jack, strutting teasingly."You did great M'Lady" Hiccup said as I settled into his arms."Thank you" I whispered back to him as Jack glared at me."She did ok...I guess."He murmured, obviously annoyed. I rolled my eyes."Awwww, is Jacky Wacky the frost man Jealous?" I said in a high pitched, baby voice. He rolled his eyes and ignored me."I guess it's my turn" Hiccup said, jumping up."Knock him dead!" I yelled as he formed. The other students that were in his race were trembling, looking at him nerviously. I couldn't help but smirk at this. Gobber shouted'Go' and they were off. Hiccup zoomed in a straight line, his wings tucked slightly as his body cut through the air flatly. He spun and dived down slightly, bending around the corner, spreading his wings to full legnth. Everyone's eyes followed him as there mouths stayed agape. He glided over the finish line silently, flanking all the other racers who weren't event half way yet. I laughed as he formed and trotted back to us nerviously, passing Gobber on the way."Well definitely need to work on that" He murmured sarcasticly. I snaked both my arms around his gorse as he settled next to me."You lost!" Jack said, sarcasm dripping from his voice. "Oh I'm sorry Oh great Dragon master! Please forgive me!" Hiccup bowed mockingly as he spoke in a kingly voice. I laughed. The rest of the racers finally finished there races as we all left class in a Hurry."Strength is next!" I said exitedly. The boys raised eyebrows at me."You realise we have to fight someone else. They pair you with someone that's not a student who's close to your current ranking, Hiccups probably gonna get Odin himself!" Jack exclaimed, patting Hiccups shoulder. He rolled his eyes as we met up with the others.
"Hiccup got first in Speed!" Jack shouted, interrupting the group from there previous conversation."Wow!" They all
Congratulated Hiccup. I bit my lip slightly when I saw that strange man disappear around the corner of a building, very close to us."What place did you come Astrid?" Heather asked, snapping me out of my thoughts"Oh, umm,2nd" I answered cautiously. They all nodded and continued there conversation. I furrowed my eyebrows, my thoughts on the mysterious man."Astrid?You okay?" Hiccup asked, snaking an arm around my waist. I gripped him by his torso."I'm okay, just nervous" I lied, not wanting to worry him,"Don't worry you'll do fine" He encouraged, smiling down at me. I smiled, still, my head ached at the though if the burly man. I shook It off and joined the group.
I mean....what harm could he possibly do.....right?
