when alex, evie, and i thought of our prank to paint jonesy white, i never thought me and jessen would end up in this situation.

it started when i woke up this morning, laying on the floor in a sandwich between eli and evie. eli had stolen all of our covers, wrapping them around his body. i stared at the ceiling, trying to remember what happened last night. i briefly remembered some weed, a fat slut, and writing "moist" in somebody's front yard with forks. the details were fuzzy, but i knew from experience that they would slowly come back.

i sat up slowly, not wanting all the blood to rush to my head. i saw evie, furrowing my eyebrows at the purple streak in her hair. when did that happen? my eyes traveled upwards, to the couch, where i saw a shirtless jonesy, an identical purple streak in his black hair.

that's when i remembered what jonesy did to evie — flirting with some other girl with the same name as her, evie. anger washed over me immediately, seeing him there peacefully sleeping. oh, the humanity! something must be done!

i got up as quick as i could without falling over on eli or evie (or, god forbid, jonesy.)

the house was a wreck, and that's an understatement. it was now the home of half-empty red solo cups, shattered liquor bottles, smashed beer cans, plastic bags, and there were random people passed out everywhere. looking out the window, i even saw a few in the backyard and i think somebody was asleep on the hood of jeepy. i would've gone and yelled at them, but my plan was already forming in my head. justice must be served!

i found alex as soon as i could. she was on a beanbag in the corner of the hallway by the stairs. i saw cai's sleeping body not too far away, and i had the feeling she probably kicked him off of the beanbag at some point. there's a reason alex and i have separate beds.

there was no easy way to get alex up, so i promptly grabbed her tan leg, pulling it hard. "wake up, you sack of potatoes!" i whisper-yelled, wanting her to wake up, but not wanting jonesy to.

she groaned and i shushed her, hitting her lightly on the cheeks a few times until her red eyes slowly blinking opened. when she saw it was me, she rolled her eyes and flopped back down on the beanbag. "alex isn't here right now, leave a message after the beep." she grumbled, her voice hoarse. i waited for the beep, so i could whisper-yell some more, but she didn't do it.

"alex! this is important! it's a prank!" i whispered. her eyes went wide open at the mention of a prank and i knew this was going to be epic.

"talk to me." she said, voice sounding more awake as she sat up, looking at me excitedly.

"okay, so you know what jonesy did to evie last night? well, he's asleep on the couch right now and i think we need to do something. maybe write on him?" i questioned, trying to think of a good prank to play on that jackass.

"no, we have to think bigger!" alex proclaimed, stumbling to her feet. i think i could see the light bulb glowing above her ruffled mini-afro. "we've gotta do more that write on him, let's..." she trailed off, and i knew she had thought of it. "let's paint him white!"

from that statement, we woke up farris and ian, who were cuddled up under the dining table that was used to play beer pong on. somebody else was on top of it, though, and i think it was some junior on the tennis team. they were more than eager to go get the white paint from the hardware store down the street.

next to wake up was lucas and kylie, who were on opposite sides of the wall in the kitchen, which surprised me. weren't they starting to get along as more than just friends last night? i decided not to question it as we woke them up. alex struggled to get lucas up, but kylie was like me, a morning person. she watched alex help lucas up and rolled her eyes. what had happened?
