" but......" she started , he cut her of " no buts if you want you could pay me back by doing me favor if thats ok with you "

She immediately agreed to it without even asking him what it was , at that moment he realised that she trusted him , if not she would have not agreed to stay with him this first place .

He looked at her excited smiling face , then sighed this was going to be difficult for him . " I am searching for a new PA currently , you can work for me after a few weeks if you wish " , the truth is that he already had a PA it was only to calm her nerves though he was looking forward to have her near him always , what nonsense I was running away from her and now I dug my own pit why was it so difficult , never in his life had he faced such a tough time not even when first started running his company , he focused back on her .
when she looked a bit hesitant , he queried " what is it ???"

" I don't have any of certificates with me " she admitted.
" it's ok , your resume will be enough " he relived her ,
" thank you soooo much " she quipped grinning brightly , her eyes twinkling , an unknown warmth spears inside him but he ignored it , and got up ,

" I'll take you to your room " he told her , not even giving a chance for her to decline he lifted her up form the couch , his arm one beneath her calf and other on her waist , the touch ignited both of them , Muktha blushed profusely .

" um..... I can walk " she informed him ,
" no " he told her firmly the tone that said no nonsense . Though he had a inner turmoil he didn't want her in pain . Even if he did not admit , having her close calmed him , he loved the feel of her in his arms , so soft and fragile .

Muktha silently watched his face in amusement as he tried hard to school his expressions , she smiled at the thought , enjoying that she was not the only one that was affected , but what she didn't understand is why is he trying to hold back his emotions , from what she could conclude he did not want her to know what he really or he is afraid of the man he was in the morning .

What ever it was she was determined to find out .

Her room was in the first floor , the opposite room was Ranveer's , its been four days since she is here , since she last met a certain green eyed man , she loved his eyes . She learned that he is busy with his office , he was always late to home and left home early she tried to keep awake but the injury and medicines tired her out . She was determined to meet him today .

She was descending the stairs , when Lilly came to her aid , Lilly was one of the staff here , she was a sweetheart , at the age of sixties she is still young and chirpy , they had both grown close with mother and daughter affection , in fact she had become close to all the staff at the house , Ranveer had assigned two bodyguards for her despite of her protest . But more than guards Ron and Suresh were like her elder brothers they were hesitant at first but they had warmed up to her . Ron was Lilly's son .

" you should have called me child , you should be more careful , its your health that is concerned " Lilly chided Muktha , shaking her head as if disappointed . She has become a mother hen .

" its nothing I'm fine now " Muktha protested , but Lilly helped her down . Reluctantly she let her .

It was past 11 , Muktha was feeling sleepy but she kept herself awake , the staff had already left , she came to know that Ranveer didn't like people around him when he was home , maybe thats why he came late because he didn't want face her , she felt hurt at the thought he is ignoring her .

Ranveer had kept himself busy with work , but he always ended up with Muktha's thoughts , he missed her , he didn't know why but he did . Everyday he would reach home after one . Before he went to bed he always went to her room check upon her , he would look at her sleeping face for a few minutes before leaving , it had become his habit .

Today he was surprised to find Muktha on the couch asleep her head dangling to the side . He placed his briefcase on the table and walked towards her , when he lifted her up , she stired in her sleep and opened her eyes , he looked at the blue orbs looking at him in confusion before widening .

" you're back " she smiled at him , making his heart skip a beat . He climbed the stairs two at a time , his muscles flexing under her , she could make out his strong abs from his tight shirt . She cliches his collar for support .

" why were you sleeping on the sofa " his voice boomed in the empty mansion . He was angry , yes , for what??. He was afraid of his own emotions , he didn't trust his heart .

She was taken aback at his temper " umm....... I was waiting for you " she choked out . His nose flared in anger his stare hard on her , is he angry at her , she cowered , seeing her scared expression his gaze softened .

" I'm .... haa ... I'm sorry " he apologized , it surprised him , he never apologized to anyone even if he was wrong .

He placed her softly on the bed . He liked carrying her , the only time he could keep her close to him , safe and sound . After arranging the cushions behind her he made her lean on it .

After she was comfortable , he questioned her " why were you waiting for me "

" ah.. I wanted to ask you if I could join the company " she drawled out looking at him with hopeful eyes .

" you're still not recovered so no "

She opened her mouth to say something and closed , tugging her hands across her chest and huffed .

" I'm fine " she pouted oh how he wanted kiss that pout away . He softly poked her side , she yelped and looked at him shock , so adorable .

" what the he'll " she bellowed ,
" see your still in pain so am not taking you " he shrugged as she gaped at him .

" that's not fair I'm bored " she looked like child deprived of candy .

" how about you kiss me and I take you " wow were did that come from , both were shocked .

" ok " she whispered after what felt like hours of silence .

" WHAT ? " it was his turn to be shocked . She pecked his cheek quickly and pushed him of the bed .

" go sleep " she chimed pulling the duvet over head trying to cover her blushing face .

He smiled , and pulled the duvet down and leaned face to face with her so close that she could feel his warm minty breath fanning her face , she looked at him wide eyed , " that was not what I was expecting " .... he stopped enjoying her uneven breathing affected by his presence . " you are coming to the office only when I get a real kiss " he smirked at her red face . He kissed her cheek , it was as if his dream come true , he had long to kiss her , though it was not what he had actually wanted , he was if with this . He took one last look at her red face before standing to his full height , " sleep tight beautiful " and he was gone .
