He looked at her in surprised , out of all the things , she wanted him to hug her , his eyes burned from unshed tears , to keep himself in correction was difficult . Hasn't God tested him enough why wasn't it sufficient for him .

She looked at him with desperate eyes , She wanted to cherish him  , draw strength from him  she won't let him go , when she saw the longing in his eyes she knew something was holding him up , whatever it was she would fight for them .

Soon she was engulfed in a pair of strong arms , she closed her eyes tears cascading down her cheeks . She snuggled more into his embrace winding her arms around his torso .

" What's holding you back veer , please don't leave me , I love you  " she sobbed hugging him tightly , her tears made him weak . Feeling drops of water on her shoulder she pulled back slightly , Ranveer lowered his eyes not wanting her to see his pain .

She drew her hand out of the embrace and cupped his cheek , wiping his tears of and looking at him in earnest waiting for an answer .

Ranjit fell to his knees  . His heart felt heavy , all these years when he never had someone to call family , when he never had a reason to care , when he never merely smiled , all he needed to do was just tell himself it was not meant for him and the bloody blood pumping organ would not bother him with its presence , now no reasoning could soften the overwhelming pain it exaggerated . His heart won the constant battle with his brain , he was shocked at the extent of his feelings for Muktha . The life he led was more painful than death itself .

Muktha stood shocked as she saw the man she has come to love crumble down  before her , she had know him for a ruthless and arrogant , emotionless man but never vulnerable . His arms went around her waist as her buried his face in her belly , " I'm sorry " he mummered his voice muffled against her " I'm sorry I made you cry , I could give nothing but pain to you " her slender arms went around his shoulders her hand through his hair as she leaned forward placing her chin over his head , clutching him tightly to her , blinking her eyes trying helplessly not to cry . " I love you " she whispered again to him , letting him know no matter what she wouldn't leave him . " You wouldn't say that once you know me " he said his voice hardening , he pulled away from her standing up .

" I know you " ,

" Not the man 'm really 'm "

" It doesn't matter , what matters to me is behind all the false portrayal , I know you're a good man and I love that man nothing would deter me away from you "

" BULLSHIT " he pulled her roughly towards him by shoulders " you're going to leave me like all other others who came in my life once they knew what I was capable off and you'll leave too  "

She became furious , he had no right to judge her , she loved him truly and would stand by him what may come   , she grabbed him by his collor holding his gaze with hers " try me , " he looked at the little spitfire before him shell shocked , a ray of hope beamed as she hammered down yet another wall around his heart , she could be different .

He took her wrist and dragged her out of the room and down the hall .
