I woke up the next morning to someone ringing my door bell. It was a holiday so school was off that day. I looked at my clock to see it was ten in the morning. After I blinked my eyes a couple of times and gathered my wits I headed down stairs.

When I opened the door I was shocked to see it was Adam. But he looked a little more shocked to see me for some reason. And then I looked down at what I was wearing, a thin camie and thin sleeping shorts. I ran up the stairs and into my room. I yelled down to him to tell him to come in and make himself at home. As fast as I could I got jeans and a sweat shirt and went back down stairs.

Adam was sitting in my living room petting Lucky, who was loving it. "Um...," I said giving a slight fake cough at the end. He looked up and smiled.

"Hi, nice change of out fit," he said standing up and holding Lucky.

"Thanks, so once again not to sound rude, but, what are you doing here,"

"Um...you said we could hang out today and I texted you. You said come over so I did,"

"Oh...well...I must have fallen back asleep. Give me a minute and I'll meet you outside," He went outside and ran back up stairs. I knew I had never texted Adam and I had no idea what the hell was going on.

When I found my phone and looked through the messages. He did indeed text me and I supposedly texted him back. Then it clicked. My mom had texted him for me. She had done it to me when I was in the seventh grade. The kid who was a little............obsessed with me. She ended up making me go on a "date" with him, and not to sound mean but he wouldn't leave me alone after that. That was just one of the many reasons I changed schools. When she got home I would have to have a "talk" with her.

When I came outside Adam was sitting on the porch swing my father built last year for my birthday. He saw me, he immediately stood up, and smiled.

"So what do you want to do today kind sir," I asked him holding my hand behind my back like a child.

He put his finger to his chin and made a "thinking" face. "Well we could do lots of thing's, but, there is something I promised myself I would do this morning,"

"Oh," I said getting a little nervous "And what might that be?,"

He smiled now and said "I have to ask you to home coming,"

I tried not to show my surprise when he said this, but it was hard. I didn't expect that of all things. To tell the truth I hadn't thought about home coming at all. No one had said anything about it and yet now that I thought about it, it was only two weeks away. I looked at Adam and realized he was waiting for and answer.

"I'd love to," I said smiling.

But for some reason I felt bad about it. My mind then went to Lucas. We had went on a date the day before but we weren't exclusive, right? I had no idea what we were really. We went on at date but we didn't kiss or anything so...... what were we?

When I snapped out of day dreaming/worrying I saw that Adam had offered me his hand. I took it and he lead me to his truck. I stopped in my tracks and looked at him and gave him a look. The only person I knew who had a car who was are age was Christa. Though all my friends and I are old enough to drive we don't have our licenses.

"Oh yeah, hey I got my license," he laughed and so did I.

We got in the truck and he pulled out of the drive way and down the road.

"So are you kid napping me or just trying to surprise me?," I laughed.

"Little bit of both," he said and we both laughed.
