David's POV

For first period I had trigonometry with Mrs. Benson. What? I thought Mom was signing me up for the less advanced math class! I walked to the main office.

"Can I help you?" One of the ladies asked when I walked in.

"I was just wondering if it was by mistake I was put in the trigonometry class? My mom said she was signing me up for the less advanced class," I replied.

"No, on our records it specifically say you're supposed to be taking trigonometry," she said with a smile on her face.

"Ok then," I said, pretending to understand. I walked down the hallway to Mrs. Benson's room. I heard there was some kind of assembly held before I got here, so first period was just now starting.

"-I also expect you all to show up to my class on time-" I heard as I put my hand on the door knob. This is gonna be awkward... I thought.

I opened the door and just stood there like an idiot. Instantly, all eyes snapped up to me. I know what they were all thinking, "What's he doing here? He's not smart enough to be here!"

I ignored all the stares as best as I could, and took a seat next to a girl in the front row.
