AN: oh my god, every time i see this i get all happy and heart felt and a bunch of other mushy lovey emotions. this is my absolute favorite. now, back to the story...

Lucille fell asleep and Raoul got up gingerly so he doesn't wake her up. he stepped quietly out of the room, closing the door behind him, and left. francoeur stepped out of the shadow once he left. he was torn between happiness for his friend but sorrow for not being able to show Lucille he loved her. he walked back to his room, head hung, and sighed. he walked into his room and closed the door behind him.

...

Lucille woke up to sun shining in her face but no Raoul. 'he must have left when i fell asleep.' she got up and stretched. There was a knock on the door and Francoeur poked his head in.

"oh, did i wake you?"

"no, i just woke up." she stood up and went to go grab a book from the book shelf.

"no breakfast?"

"no. i have been wanting to finish this book."

"then would you mind if i joined you? i was going to work on a song... as long as it doesn't disturb you."

"of course." she sat back down with her book as Francoeur went and grabbed his guitar and music papers. when he got back he sat next to Lucille and started to lightly pluck at the strings. when he found a good intro he wrote it down. they soon became so immersed in what they were doing, they both forgot they were not alone. they then started to talk to themselves about what they were doing.

"the suspense is killing me."

"a c and then a minor... yes then in allegro..." they both went to grab something but got so tangled that Lucille fell on him and he fell slightly onto the couch itself.

"wha-" he chirped out of surprise.

"oh!" Lucille exclaimed she looked at francoeur, aware of how close they were. "Pardon francoeur! i was... uh... just... not paying attention..." francoeur put his arm over her, staying silent. "Francoeur? what are you... well, better than hugging a pillow i guess." she relaxed as she kept reading, still slightly aware of the closeness but didn't care. he cherished every second of it as he kept working on his song, also aware of how close she was and loved it. eventually Lucille finished her book and had to get up. he let her go as he finished up his song
