Stop, drop, and go.

The trip home wasn't much, long, painful, useless. I hadn't felt this way in a long time. I hadn't felt, accepted. Even though I can feel my depression taking over me like some void that's just waiting to suck me into oblivion, I feel accepted. My thoughts shattered once I reached the door.

Home. Home is where the heart is. No, scratch that. Home is where my parents heart is. It was all perfect for them but for me? No.

I walked into the door, not like through the door and into the house, no, into the damn door. I was to captivated with the small piece of paper Gerard had given me. I did, however, make it into the house safely.

I greeted my parents very quickly and ran up to my dreaded pink room. I tried to make up for the pink by putting up a vicious amount of posters.

Before I jumped into my bed like a little child, I grabbed my phone from my bag and quickly dialed in Gerard's number. I gave him a quick text.
Me: hey Gerard, it's sky

I sat, waiting for a text back. I was suddenly worried. What if he gave me a fake number? What if he never replies? Wait. Why was I even worried? The silence was broken with a loud ding from my phone.
Gerard: hey sky what's up

I sighed in relief. I quickly texted back.
Me: not much, just got home wbu

I had to put my phone away for a moment so I could go downstairs and communicate with real people, face to face. I could feel myself slowly falling into that pit of nothingness, anxiety, hate. Even though I wanted to do so much to harm myself, something about Gerard made me want to stay strong.

Roaming down the winding, wood stairwell was interesting. Making it to the kitchen wasn't a surprise either. I peak around the wall that was covered in a torn wallpaper and spot a crinkled, yellow paper on the fridge.

"Sorry sky, your father and I had an unexpected business trip for the rest of this week and we should be back around Saturday. -xoxo Mom," Shocker. I wasn't mad that they were out again, I just expected being alone, again.

I threw the note on the ground and reached into the refrigerator. I grabbed a soda and a bag of chips then went back up to my room.

I heard my phone ringing furiously. I picked it up and noticed that I have several texts and two missed calls. I don't know who could have possibly sent these considering I'm not popular and my family doesn't talk to me. Not in the whole "My family hates me and refuses to talk to me," type of way, but more in the "I legit just see my family so much that there is no reason."

I closely examine who texted and called. It was all from one person. My aunt. I was wondering what she was wanting so I opened the texts and saw several ones.

Aunty: Pick up your phone now!

Aunty: SKY! I MEAN IT!!! THIS IS URGENT!

Aunty: Skylar Rose, I'm on my fucking way since you don't want to answer and pack a bag to stay for about two weeks or so.

I didn't even bother to text back before rushing to gather all of my things considering I received the last text a couple minutes ago.
~~~
Kinda abrupt ending but I'm trying to crank out these chapters... Tell me what you guys think and why do you think her aunt is so determined to get her?
Stay strong killjoys❤️
