It was a nice and a bit of a breezy day in North Carolina. There were these two girls, named Elle and Abby, that were at home deciding to go for a ride. "Hey want to go for a ride?" asked Elle. "Yeah sure!" said Abby.
Abby has blonde straight hair. She has blue-green eyes.
Elle,on the other hand, has light brown straight hair that turns blonde in the summer. She has blue-gray eyes.
Elle and Abby went out to the barn to get their horses tacked up for their trail ride.
Abby's horse was a black paint named Belle. She has one spot on one side of her that looks like Minnesota and a spot on the other that looks like Arizona. Belle can have an attitude, but overall she's a good horse.
Nancy, Elle's pony, is a speckled appaloosa. She's calm, friendly, but doesn't really like the wind. She's used to work with disabled people.
The ponies were both happy when they saw us coming into the barn. We tacked them up then went on our ride.
"Hey want to go to the park?" asked Abby. "Sure! I heard there's a lot of really nice trails there." said Elle.
The park wasn't that far from where Abby lived. Her and Elle were cousins but acted more like sisters. They had a lot in common. They both liked the same shows, same music tastes, and shipped the same couples.
They decided to go on a trail that had a lake and a really nice view all around. The trail was kinda wide. Wide enough for somebody to pass without moving. When they decided to pick up their pace a little, they caught a glimpse of a little girl that looked to be about five years old. They got their horses to stop in time before anything happened.
"Woah woah woah!" said Elle. Nancy stopped right in front of the girl. Belle stopped a ways behind Nancy.
"Horsey." said the little girl.
Abby and Elle dismounted and looked at the little girl. "Hey sweetie are you lost?" asked Abby. The little girl didn't respond. Elle was about to say something to the girl, but then a little boy came around the corner from where they were. The little boy ran up to the little girl saying, "Addy mommy and daddy are looking for you." Then he spotted us and ran away. Soon after a couple minutes, a guy that looked in his mid 30s came up to the little girl. The guy appeared to be bald. He had brown eyes. And a bit of a scruff for a beard.
"Addy there you are! Why'd you run away?" Asked the guy. "You and mommy were walking too slow." said the girl that appeared to be Addy. Then the guy noticed the horses. "Oh hey. Sorry if she scared your animals." "Oh no don't worry. It was us she scared." said Elle. "You guys okay?" asked the guy. "Yeah we're fine." said Abby. "Well come on Addy. Your mom is starting to worry about you" said the guy. "Wait daddy I want a ride on the horsey" said Addy. The little boy came out from hiding behind his dad. Elle and Abby didn't know he was there. "Yeah me too!" said the boy. "Kids no we have to go before your mom worries more." Before he left with his kids, Elle interrupted him. "Actually sir, we could give them a ride back to where you and their mom is. It'd be a lot faster. Especially with the hills up ahead." The guy chuckled a bit. "Well can't argue with you there. They are safe for kids aren't they?" "Oh yeah definitely." said Abby.
Abby helped the guy lift his kids in the saddles of the horses. Abby led them both to where their mom was while Elle and the guy were on the sides of both saddles in case something happens.
They got to the wide open and when everyone could see them, a lady ran up to them and looked really relieved. She looked like she was about to cry.
"Oh gosh there you are!" said the lady, "I'm so sorry if they startled you two." Looking at Elle and Abby.
"Oh no don't worry. We're just happy we could help out by giving them a ride back to you faster than on foot." said Abby.
"Well guys come on. We should probably head home." said the woman. The kids got off of the horses.
"By the way we didn't get each other's names." said Elle.
The guy that looked really familiar to both Elle and Abby took his hand out. "I'm Chris. Chris Daughtry." Elle and Abby both tried to keep their excitement down. They both got really happy. "I'm Deanna." said the lady.
"Oh well we're going to go." said Elle.
"Everything okay?" asked Chris."Yeah we just have some more riding to do." Abby awkwardly said.
They got on their horses and left both screaming in a really happy way. Soon Chris realized why they did that. They didn't want to look like fools in front of him and his family.
Chris yelled at the saying, "See you two around!" While chuckling a bit and walked to catch up with his wife and kids.
