Button at the pound

      "button you have to escape," my mom yelled. i was the runt of the litter and we had been found and were being taken to the pound. my mom squezed me threw the bars and i tumbled into the truck. the door was slightly open and i squezed out glancing back at my family for the last time in a long time. "Goodbye mommy ill miss you. youll visit right?" i yelled scared for the answer. she yelled something but i couldnt tell what. i stood on the road crying. i heard a horn honk and ran off the road just before a car hit me. i bummped into somecat on the sidewalk. "um h-hi," he said. "hi im button," i said. "hi im Paws i live in this house do you l-live around here?' he said. "no i just escaped the pound truck that took my mom and brothers," i explained. "well my owner has 3 cats so you cant stay here why dont you try across the street they have 2 cats and love cats theyll surely take in a stray like yourself," Paws said. "hey im not a stray," i meowed. he purred,"of course you arent." i walked across the street my tail held high. a car went by and i got splashed with water. i turned and saw Paws laughing at me. i contunued to the door sat down and meowed.

GARROTH AKA PAWS POV

     "Shes cute. i think i like her," i said a little to loud. "ooo someone has a crush,"Blaze said. 'W-What n-no i dont," i said. he laughed. "sure you dont," he said and walked back throught the kitty door. i thought to myself ,'maybe i do have a crush on her.' i saw her get splashed by water and laughed. i turned and walked to the kitty door.
