i woke up the next day, my eyes dry-feeling and slightly puffy from crying before i fell asleep last night. i also had a slight headache.
i forced myself out of bed and into the bathroom. i figured taking a warm shower would help ease my tense muscles and sooth my headache. i sat down on a bench-like thing in the shower and let the hot water run over my shoulders and back.
i was right, it did make my muscles less tense and my headache was pretty much gone.
after i was finished, i wrapped myself in a thick, fuzzy towel and blow-dried my hair. i got dressed into some random clothes that probably didn't match.
why would it matter anyways? I'll probably be executed today, if not, then i have no idea as to when that could possibly happen.
i don't even know if i'm going to get a trial or anthing like that. i sighed, frustrated with everything that's been happening to me. it really is all my fault. afterall, i'm the one who super-glued some kid to his chair and then back-talked my teacher and got expelled.
then again, i don't really care. up until this point, my life was miserable before i got expelled from that boring school and then got transferred to knight high.
I decided to wander out to the balcony and let my thoughts trouble me there while I looked at the pond.
The pond was the prettiest blue I've ever seen. I could tell that it got pretty deep in certain areas because the blue turned a darker color.
There were also three huge objects swimming in the water. I couldn't tell what they were exactly, but they took the shape of dragons.
Well, that's something you see everyday.
I walked back inside my room.
The fact that I saw dragons didn't shock me. The short creep had mentioned them, but why were they swimming in the pond? Shouldn't they be keeping the furnace running or something useful like that?
I kinda wanted to check out the rest of the "hotel," but at the same time, I didn't. Shorty would probably take me away or throw me into the pond with the dragons.
I don't think they'd like that too much.
I shuddered at the thought of being thrown into that pond and quickly pushed those thoughts out of my mind. That wouldn't be such a good way to go.
I sat down on the couch and stared off into space, thinking about absolutely nothing.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and snapped out of my empty thoughts.
It was Zephyr.
"What do you want?" I demanded, not in the mood to talk to him.
"I want, no I need, to talk to you."
"You want me dead just as much as the others do. Why the hell do you think I'd want to waste my time talking to you?"
"Because you're kind-hearted and want to hear me out."
"No," I said flatly.
"Jenny, please. I love you," he pleaded."
Tears sprung to my eyes. "I wish I could believe you. Get out."
"Jenny, I'm serious."
"And so am I. Get out."
"Jenny-"
I cut him off. "What makes you think I'm gonna believe you, hmmm? You say that you love me, but don't you see what you did to me? How you treated me? I don't wanna hear anything from you."
"I wanna change you into a vampire. It's illegal to kill a vampire unless they've broken the law, which you haven't. Then we can run away together, away from all of this."
I scoffed. Yeah right.
He's not serious. I'm sure of it.
"When do they plan on executing me? Do you know?" I asked him.
"They planned on it tonight."
"That's freakin' fantastic," I said sarcastically.
Should I let him change me? I don't wanna be a vampire, but I don't wanna be fed to the dragons either. That's probably what they'd do to me.
Sighing, I finally gave in. "Whatever. Do what you want to."
"I want to make you a vampire."
"Then do it!" Jeeze o peetes. If he's gonna do it, he's just gotta get it over with already. I'm a very impatient girl.
He bit his lip and drew blood.
Uh, okay? That nervous, aye?
"What're you doing?"
"Well, we need to exchange blood through a kiss. So, I gotta bite your lip too."
"Okay, great," I replied sarcastically.
He walked over to me and placed his lips against mine and bit down.
Owy.
I felt his blood flow from his cut and enter into mine. It was the weirdest sensation I've ever felt.
First, it was kinda painfull, then the pain started to go away and it felt electrifying.
I opened my eyes after he pulled away and everything was so much clearer than before.
"Whoa," I breathed.
I touched a finger to my lip and felt a scar already formed. I looked into the mirror and decided that I didn't look that much different.
"That's it?"
"Yup."
"I'm a vampire now?"
"Yup."
"Wow. There's no going back. Now what're we gonna do?" I asked curiously. I wanna know how things are gonna work from now on and if the Council is gonna lay off and leave me alone. That's all I really want.
"We need to tell the Council about this and argue your innocence."
"Do you think they're gonna let me off the hook, now that I'm a vampire?"
"I don't know," he said skeptically. "I guess we'll just have to find out."
That thought doesn't sound too appealing to me. They hate me with a passion, and I'm pretty sure that even though I'm a vampire now, they're still gonna kill me.
What happy thoughts... No, not really.

Hey, guys!
That was chapter 21. I hope you liked it.
And I don't know when I'll update next, hopefully soon. I'd like to get out of the habit of updating once every ten days. I love writing, I just never find time to do it.
Hopefully I'll be able to more frequently, now that my teachers aren't giving too many projects anymore.
Well, that's all.
Until next time, show your support by voting, commenting, and fanning? :)
