"Well, we're gonna get going," Zeke said.

Him and Zane walked off and Zephyr and I were there alone. Well, not really alone, considering the fact that we were surrounded by other people, but you know what I mean.

"This is fun," I said awkwardly and sarcastically.

"I know right?"

The memories of last night flooded my mind and I became distinctively disturbed. And, of course, Zephyr knew right away about my sudden mood change.

"Is something wrong?" he asked me seriously.

"No," I lied. I was an excellent liar and nobody ever saw past it. Well, not until now anyways.

"You're lying," he replied, giving me a flat look.

"Oh well," I told him.

"You can tell me what's wrong," he said, serious again.

I sighed, deciding that I might as well tell him what's been bothering me. I haven't known him very long, so I suppose I don't care if he thinks I'm crazy.

I didn't know how to begin, but I did anyways. "Well, I heard an interesting conversation between you, Zeke, and Zane last night. I swear to God I wasn't eavsdropping. I just wasn't asleep yet." The whole time I had told him this I was looking at the ground.

I peeked up from underneath my bangs to look at him.

"What was the conversation that you heard?" he asked tensely.

"Well, it was basically about you guys being vampires and that this is an all vampire's boarding school and you were wondering how I was even accepted into the school," I told him in one quick breath, hoping he wouldn't hear all of it.

He did.

Go figure.

He was silent for a couple minutes and I began to worry. Was he gonna rip my head off or something like that?

"I won't tell anyone that I know," I added hastily.

"I'm not worried about that," he replied, still extremely tense.

"Then what are you worried about?" I asked him anxiously.

"The Vampire Council," he told me seriously.

"Who are they?" I asked curiously.

"Come with me," he told me and took my hand and led me to God only knows where. "We shouldn't be discussing things like this around a bunch of other people."

"Who's the Vampire Council?" I repeated.

"They're like our government."

"Oh. Why are you worried about them?"

"They have spies everywhere. If one of the spies find out that you know about vampires, you could be executed," he told me seriously.

My eyes widened at this. "I don't wanna die," I said miserabley.

"I won't let that happen to you," he told me.

I smiled at him. "Thanks."

"You're welcome."

"How long have vampires been known?" I asked.

"Since the late 1500's in the European region. I've heard some pretty amusing myths floating around from the humans. I heard one about us being able to turn into bats," he told me as he laughed slightly.

I was totally about to ask him that question... I'll just keep that to myself.

"What things aren't myths?" I inquired.

"Drinking blood. The cross myth is partially true because when ever we touch a cross we get severely burned but it doesn't kill us. Even though we can't drown, Holy Water can drown us indeed. Very strange, I know. Drinking it is poisionous as well."

"Interesting. What about sunlight?"

He cracked up laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked, slightly offended.

"We were just out in the sunlight, weren't we? My skin doesn't bubble, I don't melt, and I sure as hell don't sparkle either." He cracked up laughing again.

I couldn't help but let out a small laugh at this too.

He told me about a bunch of other myths he's heard and whether they're true or not. I learned some pretty interesting things about vampires.

We stayed in the place he took me for the rest of the day. Towards the end, we had stared into eachother's eyes and I had gotten total butterflies.

His gaze had seemed to be stuck on mine.

I coughed awkwardly and stood up. "It's getting late, we should go back to the dorm."

"I agree," he told me, yawning.

We walked back to the dorm rooms. When we got to our room, Zephyr told Zane and Zeke all about what I knew so far.

They didn't seem to happy about the thought of me knowing that vampires exist, but at the same time they seemed relieved that they didn't have to keep the secret from me anymore.

"I'm going to bed," I announced to them. Tomorrow's my first day of school here and I'm pretty excited.

"Night," they said at the same time.

I hastily changed into my PJ's and went to bed.
