Emotional Baggage

Part 1. Insanity

She is the odd one out. Whilst the others always act a certain way, she has an unpredictable nature that, quite honestly, scares people. Sorrow, Regret, Laughter, Sleep, Rage and the others... All her friends are perceived as normal, but Insanity... No, she's a completely different story. Insanity is all of them, combined as a single, yet powerful, force that always exists. Black hair falls in waves down her back to represent the darkness she lived in, and her constantly colour-changing eyes show the many emotions coursing through her veins and the fluctuations in her personality. But her pale skin is confusing to everyone. Why does she have it? What does it represent? Perhaps that is what it truly represents- no one understanding the chaos that Insanity never meant to be.
This girl- Insanity- is the most powerful emotion of all, like the leader. As the emotions do exist in the world with power, it's obvious that the humans out there would want to capture them for that immense power... That is why Laughter travels with Sorrow and Rage. She keeps the two calm and spreads happiness, whilst the other two help people manage their emotions and vent it, in a way, and the others just wandered alone... Well, that used to be Insanity's orders, but when the raven haired girl became sick, all of them came to look after her, despite her protests.
"No, we can't let you get sick by yourself! If you die, we die. If you get kidnapped... It would be our fault for letting you be alone in a vulnerable state." They did raise a good point, so Insanity let them.
But a group had been sneakily following Sleep, who was too tired to realise, and finally... They found the leader of the Emotions...
