Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep
I rolled over searching for the snooze button on my alarm.
I looked at the clock and saw what time it was.
9 AM
It was finally the day!
I quickly hurried out of bed and headed to the bathroom.
"Sarah are you up already?" my mom asked from the kitchen that smelled of bacon.
"Yeah I have to pack a few little things, and then I'll come and eat breakfast" I replied.
"Okay" she said clearly distracted by something in the kitchen.
My name's Sarah. I am 18 years old andI live in Pennsylvania. I am moving to New York today, and starting college in just a few days.
A majority of my things had already been packed I just needed to pack a few things that I use everyday.
I was packing when I found a picture of my dad.
"What's that?" My mom asked from the doorway.
"It's our last family picture with dad" I answered.
My father passed away when I was only five years old. It's a little tough I miss him and wish he could be here for days like this.
"I'm so proud of you, and I know he would be so proud of you and the beautiful young lady you have become." She said smiling at me.
"Are you done packing?" she asked trying to change the mood.
"Yeah I think so!" I said excitedly.
"Okay, let's go eat!" She said.
After breakfast I finished packing my car, and said goodbye to my mom and three brothers, Jason, Ethan, and Willie. I'm going to miss them but I am also very excited.
I got in the car and texted my best friend Skylar.
Me: Just got in the car
Skylar: Okay have a safe trip, don't forget to call me when you get there
Me: Okay I will call you when I get settled
Skylar: Okay 🙂
I turned the radio on and began my journey.
