Papyrus poked Undyne before rolling her off of the couch. He couldn't figure out why she seemed so unhappy, so unenthusiastic, with no apparent motivation to do anything.
"Just tell me what's going on! This is getting very tiresome, you're not yourself today!" Papyrus said, putting his hands on his hips and looking down at Undyne, who was now lying on the floor.
"It's nothing, seriously," Undyne responded, not bothering to move.
"It must be something if you're emotionlessly lying on the floor. Normally you would have accidentally broken at least vase or two by now." Papyrus insisted.
"I just got my butt kicked in a game of chess against Frisk," Undyne grumbled, rolling over so that she was lying on her back. "I've never lost a game until now. I just feel, weel, defeated."
"Well, we can't have that!" Papyrus rushed to the laundry room to pick up a large black blanket, which he returned to Undyne with. He unfolded the blanket and placed it on the floor next to her. Undyne turned her head to look at the blanket, but didn't comment on its placement. Suddenly, Papyrus rolled Undyne onto the blanket and continued to roll her until she was completely wrapped in the blanket. He then took a deep breath before picking Undyne up and placing her back on the couch in her blanket.
"Oh my god, what are you even doing?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Just a minute!" Papyrus called, running into the kitchen.
When Papyrus came back from the kitchen, he had his arms full with bags of fruit snacks and carrots.
"Okay, I know you like crunchy things, but I wasn't sure if you'd prefer something chewy at the moment, so I just got both." Papyrus layed down the snacks next to the couch, making a small pile.
"Dude, you don't have to do this," Undyne said with a short laugh, "I'm fine, just a bit bummed out. It was a chess game for goodness' sake."
By the time Undyne had said this, Papyrus was already filling up a glass of water in the kitchen and getting ready to bring it back to her.
"You have to stay well hydrated! Being upset may cause dehydration!" Papyrus announced, putting the water beside the couch.
"I'm not dehydrated, I practically drank a whole damn lake before coming here," Undyne retorted, snickering and rolling her eyes. "Besides, I can't even eat or drink while wrapped up in this thing, anyways."
Papyrus gasped in sudden realisation. He wasn't sure why he hadn't noticed it before, but his voice seemed to raise an octave higher immediately after he did.
"You're like a little sushi roll!" He exclaimed, patting her on the head.
"Pfft, you are such a dork," Undyne remarked with a laugh, slightly moving her head away from his hand.
"Now you're a happy little sushi roll!" Papyrus declared proudly. "My work here is done! Or at least it will be, when or if I can get you out of that blanket."
