"Killian?" I asked myself in a whisper. The man for out of my car in a military uniform, holding his sea bag.

"Did you miss me, Swan?" He asked as he walked towards me. With tears in my eyes, I ran to him. As I did, he dropped his bag and opened his arms for me. I leaped into his arms and kissed him.

"Of course I did. There wasn't a moment that went by that I wouldn't think of you." I replied, quoting what he had said before he left.

"Good." He said, seeing me down, but not letting go. I placed my forehead to his, and giggled. There was a large round of applause from behind us, but I didn't care. Killian was home, and he was safe.

"See why I wanted you to stay?" Mary asked me when we had gone back and sat down.

"Wait, you knew?" I asked, stunned, and quite frankly, a little annoyed.

"It's ok, Love. I called lady Nolan, and asked her to keep it a secret. If there's anyone to blame, it's me." Killian said, adding extra emphasis to Mary's new last name, while holding my hand.

"You know what? It doesn't matter. Ask that matters is that you're here. Speaking of which, come with me." I said, pulling Killian towards Henry's blanket. My son was fast asleep, wrapped up and laying in a nearby patch of grass.

I knelt down next to him, and gently woke him up. He, at first, refused to open his eyes. I picked him up, and lightly shook him.

"Ello lad, how are ya?" Killian asked as I handed Henry to him.

"Killy!!!!" Henry exclaimed, wrapping his arms around Killian's neck. Aw, how cute!! I love my boys.

"Guess what, my boy?" Killian asked as Henry still clung to his neck.

"What?"

"I brought you something." Killian said as he got up to go get his this, Henry sat up, and waited eagerly for Killian to return. He came back, holding a small coin. I have him a questioning look, and he smirked at me.

"Now this, little lad, is a challenge coin. These are used as an identifier for soldiers. See, this is mine." Killian said, pulling an almost identical coin out of his left pocket. "And now, this is yours."

"Tank you Killy." Henry said, enamored by the shiny object in his hand.

"And then, I have something for you too, Love." Killian said, pulling a chain off of his neck. On the chain, was a ring.

"Woah!" I said putting my arms up and taking a step back.

"Calm down Swan, I'm not proposing. I want you to keep this with you. It was my brother's, and it's the reason why I've survived four tours in Iraq, and two in Afghanistan." Killian said, grabbing my hand and setting the chain in my hand. After another good while, Killian, Henry, and I said our goodbyes and left to go home.

We got home, and I saw it, there was a German Shepard puppy sleeping on the couch.

"Killian Jones!!" I shouted, crossing my arms and staring at the dog. It perked it's head up at my voice, but continued to lie on the couch.

"What is it- oh, I see you've met Gold." He said, stopping right next to me.

"Yeah. I've met Gold. Question though, why is Gold here?" I asked.

"Well, while I was gone, my dog had puppies, and then saved me from an IED. I was upset, so my commanding officer let me take one of the puppies." He said, once again reaching into his pocket and pulling out a set of dog tags. They must have belonged to his dog.

"I'm sorry about your dog. I guess I'll get used to having a puppy around. You owe me a date night though." I said, turning to face Killian and placing an arm on his shoulder.

"Ok. Let's go to bed love, I'm exhausted." Killian said. We walked down the hallway and towards our room. I changed into one of Killian's old shirts and a pair of shorts. I looked at our bed, and sure enough, Gold was laying in my spot. I cleared my throat, and Killian came out of the bathroom.

"Bloody crocodile! Get out of the bed!" He yelled, running his fingers through his wet hair. Gold jumped off the bed, and trotted out of the room.

"Apologies, Love." Killian said after putting on pajama pants.

"Doing worry about it. I'm just gonna have to get used to having a puppy. The only thing that can't happen is us sharing our bed with a dog. Not gonna happen." I said, laying down under the sheets. Killian laid next to me, and I instinctively began to play with his chest hair.

"Night, Swan. I love you." He whispered.

"Love you to, Killy." I whispered, sleep beginning to overwhelm me. Then, all of a sudden, Gold came and jumped on top of me.

"Gold!!" Killian yelled, getting up and putting the poor dog out in the hallway. After about five minutes, we could hear whimpering, and I started to feel bad. Killian gave me the puppy dog eyes, and I sighed in defeat.

"Fine, but he's sleeping on the floor." I said. Killian smiled and pecked my lips. He went and got Gold and put him on the floor. After awhile, he settled down, and Killian and I could finally go to sleep.

"Night. I love you." He whispered again before placing a kiss on the top of my head. He wrapped his arm around me, and I realized just how much I had missed while he was gone.

"I love you too, Killian. You don't know how nice it is to have you back, I missed you so much." I replied, curling up to his side.
"I have missed this everyday since I left. I used to love sleeping on that ship, because I knew that when I awoke, I would help loads of people, but while I was here with you before I left, I loved sleeping here, because I knew, even if I didn't wake up next to you, I knew I would wake up to you." He said, making me cry.

"Come on!! Really? You're gonna make me cry now??" I asked, playfully slugging his arm.

"Well, it's not my fault. I'm just a handsome, soulful, kind of guy." He said, smirking at me. He gently wiped away the tears from my cheeks, and gave me a kiss. We turned out the light and went to bed. He's home, he's safe. You don't have to worry. But what if something happens? Oh just shut up, and stop worrying. Be with Killian.
