The next morning, after a night of sleepless crying, I got up off the floor and glanced over at Mary, asleep on the couch. I wanted to smile, but I couldn't will myself to. I left a note for Mary, telling her where I was going, but telling her not to come after me. I grabbed my keys, placed a kiss on Henry's forehead, tossed on my jacket and left.

I got in my bug and drove to a painfully familiar destination. I threw the car and park and stepped onto the wood of the docks. The ocean breeze hit my face like tiny needles as I walked toward the Jolly Roger.

I stepped onto the deck of the vast ship, and looked around for Killian, but he was no where to be found. I walked towards the captain's quarters, to find the door ajar. I peeked in and saw Killian, sitting with his back to me next to a woman.

She was a dirty blonde in her early thirties, wearing black jeans and a grey t shirt. Quite frankly, she was gorgeous.

I watched them for a minute, a burning pain building deep in my chest. I silently returned to my car, slamming the door as I sat in the driver's seat.

I rested my head on the steering wheel, tears falling onto my lap. It was probably an hour or so, and I heard footsteps on the docks. I looked up, and saw Killian and the woman. He placed a kiss on her forehead, and she got in a red car.

After she left, Killian looked at me, stared for a second, and walked back to the ship. I won't lie, it hurt. He acted like he didn't know me. It was like he was staring right through me.

I started the engine off my bug and drove back to my apartment. Okay. Whew. This really hurts. Like wow, I have only felt like this once before. The night Neal died. I thought as I threw the bug in park.

I walked up the flight of stairs and unlocked the apartment door. I heaved a sigh, running my fingers through my hair. I collapsed on the couch, rubbing my temples. It was only noon, and I was already worn out. It had been less than a day, and he had already moved on to someone else.

Mary came out of Henry's room, holding my sleeping son. She walked over to me, handed him to me, and without a word, went to make a plot of coffee. She came back with two mugs, and handed me one. We sat in silence for a few minutes before Mary finally broke the silence.

"Well? Did you find him?" She asked quietly.

"Yep. He was on his ship. With another woman." I said pursing my lips. I could feel tears burn my eyes as the fresh memory resurfaced.

"Oh sweetheart. I'm so sorry." She said, engulfing me and Henry in a hug. Henry's eyes began to flutter open, and he grabbed onto the collars of my jacket.

"Hey bud. How's my big boy?" I asked, my fingertips lightly brushing the hair out of Henry's eyes.

"Tiwed." He yawned.

"Do you wanna go back to sleep?"

"Yes pwease mama." He whispered. I got up, and walked towards my son's room.

I laid him down in his bed, under the blankets, and gave him s kids on the forehead. I walked out, closing his door behind me. As I walked out to the front room, there was a knock on the door. I opened it, and found a note.

Need to clear my head, going sailing. Take care, Swan.
Killian

I crumpled the small paper in my hand and slid down onto the cold wood floor. I brought my knees up to my chest and started crying. Again.

"What is it Emma?" Mary asked. She walked over to me, read the note, and just sank right next to me. She put an arm around my shoulders, and I laid my head on hers.

Crying. I'm so tired of crying. I'm done. I let him in, and now, I'm paying the price. I should have left his sorry drunken ass in the bar. I was stupid to think this could ever go anywhere. My heart was shattered into a million broken little pieces.
