flaws

we hide all our flaws,

up and down our sleeves,

they make us so raw,

but they don't truly leave.

sometimes they peak out of our sweaters,

or they squirm out of our necklines,

they leave typos in our letters,

and they spill all of our wines.

they make you slip when the floor is wet,

and they make you bite your nails,

or force you to make foolish bets,

and lead you to your fails.

they fall off our lips,

and they tangle in our hair,

they take gentle sips,

of our life with no care.

but despite these horrible flaws,

they have much meaning and are true,

they break all the laws,

and define that you are you.
