You wiped my tears when I was feeling sad,
You calmed me down when I was feeling mad.
You cheered me up when I was getting hate,
You picked me up. You gave me fate.
You held my hand every step of the way,
And that's why I'm here and standing today.
You helped me get through the pain and sorrow,
You always reminded me; there's always tomorrow.
You showed me the happier side of life,
And cut away my insecurities as if your words were a knife.
You told me I was beautiful, enchanting, and smart,
You did it so easily as you took my heart.
You grasped my hand when I was about to fall,
