"OMG, you're married that's so cool!" squealed Avery
"Wait, when did you get married?" asked a confused Riley
"No you idiots, I'm engaged I don't have to get married to that jerkface until next year." I clarified for my friends.
"I would love to get married to my childhood best friend, sure it's a bit cliché but you can't deny true love." said Avery dreamingly.
"Ok who drugged Avery?" I asked accusingly at Riley.
"Don't look at me, she's the one who drank four cups of caffeine this morning."
"What! Why would you allow her to drink so much."
"Hey, I'm not her babysitter, besides there's nothing we can do now, she already drank it." riley reasoned.
"Whatevs just stay here I'm going to buy a latte, you want anything?"
"nah I'm good"
"suit yourself, just keep an eye on the energiser bunny."
We were at the airport since4:30 am and it was now 5:30, we were waiting for the boarding call and it was pretty tiring taking a morning flight. Avery had no sleep and was falling asleep on herself, which explains her consumption of four cups of black coffee, now she's very awake. I was still thinking about the talk that my parents had with me yesterday. It was creepy knowing that I had no choice on who I'm spending the rest of my life with but my dad told me that the contract stated something along the lines that if after one year of marriage, if we aren't happy, we could call quits and file for divorce. But do I want to go through that drama? I decided that I will talk to my aunt and uncle and try to find a loophole in the contract, there must be a way out of this death trap.
"Wow, this is your house?" Avery asked.
"Correction, my parents' house. We lived here when I was younger." I explained to Avery.
"Aren't English houses supposed to be all dull and antique looking?" inquired Riley
" Yep, but this is what my dad gets for marring my mom. Well we should head in and start unpacking. I'll show you around."
We walked across the grounds in front of the house, there were trees to the right side and a flight of stairs on the left, the house had three floors. The stairs were made on a small slope which lead to the front of the house since it's kinda underground I suppose. Tinted glass made up most of the house giving it a modern yet abstract design. When we entered, we walked into a meeting room I guess cause there was nothing except three sets of light brown sofas that made an incomplete square and a white squared table sat in the middle. Opposite the sofas was a wooden counter that made a pathway. Following that we walked into a hall that had two doors to the left which were the coat room and storage room and straight down the hall there was a door which lead to Avery's room. Every bedroom had their own bathroom. When we walked back to the meeting room, there was a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling on the opposite side of the counter and a door to the left which lead to the main bathroom and to the right leading into my father's old office. There was a glass wall with a staircase which went onto the floor below. When we descended the staircase, there was a door below which lead to a big dinning area and opposite was a small corridor which leads to the kitchen. To the right of the staircase, there is a fireplace with tan sofas forming an L shape and a stone wall with a flat screen television. To the left, there was a living room and after that, there was another hall witch lead to a main bathroom, two guest bedrooms, Riley's room and my room. There is a porch area outside of the kitchen which has a staircase leading to the pool downstairs. Also there was a home theatre room, a sports entertainment room, my study and another living room downstairs for sleepovers when I was smaller. Each bedroom had their own porch area excluding Avery's because her own was located at the front of the house.
