As the pattering noise continued to hit the bus, I realized how much it really did rain in this city. It was never something I could complain about really, because rain made me think, thoughts turned into ideas, and those become inspiration which transforms into one of various forms of artwork. Maybe, today's precipitation could assist my lacking creativity.

The bus halted and I exited, sprinting towards the doors. I didn't immediately enter the building, but instead stayed outside with my back against the door and my body protected by the overhead panels. I simply observed for a few moments and then continued to the corridor.

The hallway was fairly quiet as it usually was, a complete contrast to the city that surrounded it. I pulled the key from my back pocket and fiddled with the lock. The moment the doorknob swiveled open, another room's did as well and the noise that had been restricted inside now echoed through the hall. Michael's voice become evident, followed by another familiar voice, but less apparent.

I turn to see Michael leaning on the doorframe, his arms crossed and a smile on his face. Another boy, whom I remembered as Calum, was in front of him, a bit farther out from the doorway. Michael caught a glimpse of me and his smiled widened. His arms uncrossed as he gave me a childish, but enthusiastic wave. Calum then turned himself to see who was behind him. When he fully came to recognize me, Calum let out the slightest chuckle. He shifted his gaze to Michael's and rose his eyebrows. Calum's actions reminded me one of a middle schooler's, constantly pestering his friend when his "crush" came into their viewpoint. He seemed immature, and to have a massive lack of self control.

"Look who it is!" Calum refocused on me. He smirked a bit then slammed his weight to the support of the wall, a few inches away from Michael's stance.

I looked behind me and into my apartment, acting as if I thought Calum wasn't talking to me.

"Oh! You meant me." I laughed, keeping my actions sarcastic as per usual. "Nice to see you again, Calum."

"Huh." Calum puffed while his eyebrow rose another time. "Appears the attitude remains, dearest Ivy."

"The one thing I seem to maintain." I replied, inciting Calum to release a laugh.

I glanced over to Michael, who seemed to be utterly baffled. Calum also took note of this, and made it his cue to explain the circumstance.

"You see, Michael, Ivy and I literally ran into each other towards the front of the building." He laughed. "Basically...I introduced myself, she did the same. I told her I already knew who she was, but she had no idea who I was!" He shot a sarcastic glare at Michael.

Michael shrugged.

"Which I find hilarious, considering how much you talk about her but—" Calum rambled until Michael harshly cut him off.

"Calum, stop." Michael spoke in an angry, but embarrassed voice.

Calum moved his gaze to me, the look on his face appearing as if he proved a point. Which, Calum did, for due to Michael's blushing, he gave himself away, showing that he did in fact talk about me. I smiled and laughed softly enough to not be heard.

"What?" Michael was entirely oblivious.

"Oh, nothing, nothing." Calum chuckled moving towards the doors that guarded the staircase. "Hope to see you again, Ivy."

"You most likely will." I smiled and proceeded to gesture a wave.

With that, Calum exited through the door, Michael and I remaining in the hall. Silence filled the gap between Michael and I, leaving nothing said since Calum's departure. After the event the two of us just encountered, I didn't expect much to come from Michael, if anything at all. So, I decided to speak up myself.
