A/N: (y/h) = your hometown  I'm also going to assume your town is small for the story.  Sorry if you live in like, New York City.

I guess it all started when her sister died. (y/n) (l/n) didn't catch my eye until she buried her little sister on top of a hill in the middle of the woods. I was freezing the trees there when I saw her starting to shovel dirt in over top of the small coffin. Intrigued, I sat and watched until she finished, sat back on her knees, and wiped tears from her eyes.  I felt bad for her, even though I had no idea who had died at that point.

"Keep care of her, Jack Frost." I was startled to see such an older girl believing in me, but when I flew down beside her, she didn't see me. I was going to fly away, I didn't know her and she didn't even know that I was there, but then I saw the sad look on her face, one that reminded me of my own sister. I placed a hand on her shoulder.  As if someone invisible spirit could comfort her.  I thought to myself.  To my surprise, it did, a little. She closed her eyes and let her tears run down her face. "She's in your care now. Make sure she's safe." (y/n) then stood up and walked away, never turning back. I thought that would be the last that I saw of her,I thought I could just forget about her, but I was wrong.

Over the years I made (y/h) my new home.  I wanted to stay in Burgess, but Jamie was in college and had little time for me anymore, not that he didn't believe in me, just no time.  And (y/h)being a small town, I felt the same home feeling I had in Burgess.  Not to mention that I could always kept a careful eye on Julia.

She always seemed upset, even when some girls she knew came to talk to her. She would smile, but I could tell it was fake. The girls would leave, and she would return to her normal self. But after watching her for a while, I quickly learned how to make her smile.

A few months after I "moved" into (y/n), I saw (y/n) ice skating. She was excellent at it. She was graceful and beautiful, so I decided to send some snow, soft flakes that would swirl around her while she skated. When she saw, her eyes lit up, she even smiled for once.  It made me happy when she was smiling.  A few months after that, I started skating with her. She didn't see me or physically feel me there, but something about the way she skated told me she could sense that something was there.  That something actually cared.

Before I knew it, I was attached to the girl. I even started telling North about her. He would smile, chuckle, and say nothing, which confused me. I thought that as long as I was watching her, she would be fine, but there are other places that need winter, and everything changed one day when I went to bring winter to other towns.
