Lesson 20

"Cause that what boyfriends do." I turn to look at the door as Hiccup's voice said it loud and clear in my mind.

"Yeah, for how long?" I ask in a whisper that only I can hear. I sighed and went inside the cubicle and turn on the shower as the water fall on me like the rain as I stare at empty space.

After taking a quick rinse of pool water, and change into my clothes, I went to meet my sister at the gym door where she was talking with Hiccup and Hiro.
"Hey Astrid!" Hiccup called once he saw me coming. I flash a smile and run next to my twin and grab her harm, chaining it with mine.

"Let's go?" I ask.
"Sure." Gogo said while nodding. "You guys wanna walk with us back home?"

I look at Hiccup who was smiling while nodding.
Man, why am I wishing that he shouldn't have agreed?

While walking out of the school, students started to whisper as we pass by, like there's something wrong about me? Or it wasn't just me?

"What's their problem?" I heard Hiccup say. Practically, because he was just behind me?! Stupid you Astrid!

"Can we get out of here already? I think everyone is backstabbing me already even if they don't say it." I said grabbing someone's hand, I don't even care who to the three is, I just wished it was Gogo. I pull the owner of the hand out of the gates and run away from the campus and stopped at the nearby pedestrian crossing. I turn around closing my eyes, hoping it was really my sister, and slowly open them to see...

"Uh...hi?" Hiccup said.
My eyes widened and look at him from head to toe, and it really wasn't Gogo.
"Hey, why'd you run?" And speaking of Gogo, she and Hiro just came, rushing.

"Man, I thought it was you I grabbed." I said rubbing my forehead and set my fringes aside.
"Uh, no it's actually Hiccup you drag away." Gogo said with a bored expression and pop her gum.

Great! For sure everyone saw it! Darn it!

Wait, why am I being like this?! Hiccup and I should be okay, were buddies right?

"Whatever, at least were out of the campus." I said.
Hiccup then put his arm around my shoulder as we face the pedestrian crossing.
"Let's just go home." He said and ruffled my untied hair, since its still a bit wet.

While walking, I can't help but feet blue about my actions towards Hiccup, even if it wasn't that obvious, maybe. Right?

"Are you okay Aliana?" Hiccup asked.
Gogo and Hiro stopped and look at me with worry.
"I'm okay, nothing to worry about." I said smiling in fake.

"Are you sure? Have I done something? I think your mad at me, is it?" Hiccup asked in the same time.
Uhh...okay it's obvious.

"No, you haven't done anything." I said smiling at him.
Hiccup look at me, as if he's examining my face.
"Why don't we go out? I'll treat you." He said. Which surprised me.

"Uh..." I look at Gogo who gave me the, 'Go for it' look.
"Okay." I nodded.
"Cool!" He said. "But let's go home first to change in more comfortable clothing." He said.

We arrived home and Gogo quickly drag me up to our room and open my closet and handed me a white shirt with the words "I LOVE HIM" printed on it.

"Do I really have to wear this?" I ask.
"Just trust me, okay?" She said and handed me a pair of jeans and red sneakers.
Once I changed, she braided my hair into a ballerina braided bun and put a crystallise headband to finish the hair do.

"There." She said and gave me a small sling bag with heart designs on it.
"Enjoy your date." She said.
"It's not a date." I reminded her.
"Whatever just go, he's already outside waiting with her motor bike." She said pushing me down the stairs and outside where Hiccup is with a motor bike, waiting.

"Have fun!" Gogo wished and went back inside.
"But, what about Sofia?" I ask.
Gogo appeared again at the door.
"I'll take care of it!" She said and closed the door.

I sighed, and turn around to face Hiccup, he was also wearing a white shirt with the words "I LOVE HER" printed on it, and he also wear the same colour of sneakers as I am. Great, for sure the two planned this.

"Uh...hi." I greeted while walking towards him.
"Hey, nice shirt." He greeted back while looking at my shirt, which is a bit bigger on me.
"Yeah, I guess we both pick this before." I said looking down at my shirt.

"So, shall we go?" Hiccup ask.
I look at him and nodded. He handed me a helmet and help me hop on his bike.
"Hold on." He said.
I look at anything to hold, but there's nothing.
He then took my hands and wrap it around his waist.
My cheeks burn as I realise, I was actually hugging Hiccup.

Hiccup drove to the city, heading to the mall.
He took me to shopping, buying clothes, that we also play a little dress up. Next is the eye clinic where we buy my lenses. We also played arcade where we had enough tickets to have the stuffed teddy bear which was our aim to have.

"This look cute on you, let's take a pic." He said handing me the white bear. He took out his phone and took shots, we even take a pic while holding the bear together. While walking to food court, there's a little boy who just pass by and stopped in front of us.

"You two look cute!" He said while smiling and run away calling for its mother while telling her about what he saw.
"I guess this is really awkward." I said.
"It's actually cute." Hiccup said then took my hand and continue to walk at the food court. I took a seat as Hiccup order our meal. While waiting, I played with the teddy bear.

"Teddy, do you think I like Hiccup?" I ask even though it's stupid.
I burry my face on the bear as I whine. I don't know my feelings right now. Like it's flipping me upside down. I wish.

"Why don't you try asking yourself that?" My head rose and I saw Hiccup looking at me with a small smile.
Did he heard me?
"Uh.." Was the only thing I could say.
"The truth Astrid is, my feelings for you is positive, I like you, but I'm not yet to ask you about yours, cause I know your still confused as I am, because, one day we just woke up seeing each other that we can't even remember a single thing towards ourselves." He said.

I couldn't even say anything because of it.
"But I'm willing to wait for your answer towards me, and I'll respect that." He said smiling.
"Thanks, for understanding." I said.
"That's what boyfriends do you know." He said. I chuckled and lightly hit the teddy bear on him.

"Let's just eat." He said and gave me my ordered meal.

I look at him as we started eating, still thinking of the question.
I just hope my feelings for him are right and positive just like his to me.
