Chapter one

Run, just run. I pushed myself, trying to escape. Behind me, I heard his taunting voice.

"I'm coming for you Bella! And when I get my hands on you-"

I tripped, cursing. I quickly jumped up. "And just where do you think your going?" He asked me, grabbing my arm. I tried to jerk away from him, but he was to strong.

"Let me go, you twisted, lying, son of a-"

He twisted my arm causing me to cry out. "Do you really want to finish that sentence?" He snarled.

I was about to make a snarky comment when suddenly, he spun me around. Slamming me into the side of a tree, his mouth crushing against mine.

Chapter two

"Bella, wake up!" I jerked awake, finding myself in a darkened room. "You had the dream again didn't you?" My roommate, Stevie asked.

I sighed, pushing my wavy brown hair out of my eyes. "What gave it away?"

She looked at me sympathetically, "you were... Talking in your sleep."

"I don't know what to do, Stevie. It's like he's here, like he is still controlling everything I do."

I heard the rusty bed springs protest as she sat down on the side of my bed and put her arm around me. "Well, he's not. You're safe here, Bella. I doubt he even knows where you are."

I rolled my eyes, "Thanks that makes me feel so much better. You don't understand, I just... Have this feeling, like he's here watching me. Waiting for the perfect time to act." Stevie reached over and turned on the lamp beside my bed.

"Bells-"

"Don't call me that!"

She rolled her eyes, "Bella, I told you you're safe here. Liam will never hurt you again." I stood up and walked over to our window.

"Thanks Stevie, I don't know what I would do without you."

"I'm sure Luke would take care of you." She laughed.

I rolled my eyes "Right... About that... I think Cato is jealous. I mean they were best friends before I came weren't they?"

Stevie tugged on her boots and stood up,

"Bella, Bella, Bella. Sweet, innocent Bella. Cato isn't jealous of you. He's jealous of Luke. They both like you. Like.... Like like you."

"Oh." Then it clicked, "Ohh!"

Stevie raised her eyes at me and handed me my bag. "Yeah"

I swallowed hard, "lets not talk about that" I glanced at my watch, "Besides we should go or we'll be late."

Stevie groaned," don't remind me. I just know that I'm going to fail that test."

I laughed, "Mr. Robertson would never fail you, you're his shining jewell."

She threw a pillow at me and I dodged it easily. I pulled on my denim jacket and dodged another pillow for sticking my tongue out at her.

We bounded down the stairs, giggling.

"Good morning, beautiful" Luke said, at the bottom of the stairs.

I quirked an eyebrow at him, but Stevie just giggled harder.

"Oh Luke you're so sweet" she sang

He rolled his eyes," I wasn't talking to you" he turned to me " I was talking to Bella" he took my hand and kissed it.
