Epilogue

"Bella? Are you okay?"

I blinked my eyes slowly and Luke's concerned face came into focus above me.

He helped me sit up, "Did it-" I cleared my throat, "Did it work?" I felt my neck, closing my eyes in relief when I felt nothing.

I tried to get up, but Luke firmly pushed me back down. "No, Bella. You need to let your body heal." He tilted my face up to look at him. "How do you feel?"

I scrunched my eyebrows together, "I feel like every part of my body hurts."

"Yeah, that's normal. Just try to relax."

I nodded, "What about you," I asked with a wry smile, "How do you feel?"

Luke smiled back. "I'm fine, Bella."

I leaned my head against his shoulder, exhausted. He kissed the top of my head, "Do you want me to take the pain away, Bella?"

I nodded slowly.

"Alleviate." Luke held me close as his magic burned white hot inside me before cooling down and spreading throughout my body, numbing me.

A few hours later my body had completely healed.

I stood up, looking out across the mountains in the distance.

"Are you ready to find the elders?" Luke asked me slowly.

I nodded. "Let's do this."

He pulled me into his embrace before spelling us away.
