"Gregory Quinton Fredricks!" My mom yelled from downstairs "Get down here!"
"One moment mom!" I said pausing my game "What is it?"
"You broke up with Denise?" She said with a shocked tone of voice
"Yes." I said
"Why?" She said with big eyes
"Because mom-" I began "Her tattoo never appeared on my body. I wasn't in love with her, and I imagined she wasn't with me. Mom I feel like if it's not love I shouldn't be wasting my time."
"You don't understand Greg-" my mom began still shocked "Denise loved you. She is gonna be permanently scarred with your tattoo. It's right above her belly button Greg, and she's never gonna be able to forget you now."
Oh no. I put my head in my hands. She loved me, and I didn't love her. I could feel the tears coming on knowing the process of getting the tattoo removed is vigorously painful. "Wow." I said with a sharp breath "I think I'm just gonna go upstairs and- just- lay down."
As I ran upstairs I felt the tears coming on. We dated for 8 months and I've seen tattoos appear on people in only 1 month. I've dated 5 girls and I never have I ever gotten a tattoo but somehow all of them have. I cried even harder and then my twin sister came in. "What- is - it - Vanessa?" I asked through stifled cries
"It happened again didn't it?" She asked shutting my door and sitting in my bed
"Yeah" I said leaning on her shoulder crying harder and harder
"It's okay Greg" she said rubbing her fingers through my hair "It's not your fault, you don't fall in love easily."
"One day I'll find my significant other..." I said clearing up my tears
"That's true bro." She said "You will and it won't matter their gender"
"Okay sis-" I said "Wait a guy? I'm a guy? I'm not- Wait am I?"
