Later that night, when we had finished our pizzas, drank a little and swam a little more in the moonlight, we all zipped ourselves in our tents. I lay my head on Logan's chest and rested there as we shared the music playing from the earphones plugged in his Iphone.

As I took the earphones out of my ears, I sat up on my elbows and looked at him intently. His eyes were closed but he felt me move and opened them.

"Whatsup?" he groaned, tired.

"Can I tell you something?" I had grown so comfortable to him in that moment that all the nervousness and apprehension of telling him my insecurity about being a virgin had dissipated.

"Of course." His expression grew more serious.

"I just want you to know... I really like you. Um, and, just before anything happens, I want you to know..."

He couldn't stop a little smile from breaking on his face when I told him I liked him but seemed more concerned about what I was about to say when I reached the end of my sentence.

"I haven't slept with anyone before so... Yeah." I blushed. "I don't know I just wanted to tell you that before... anything happens."

He lifted himself up on his elbows to be on my level and responded swiftly: "Cassie, I totally understand. Thank you for telling me."

He covered my left cheek with the warmth of his hand and kissed me.

"I don't want you to think I'm trying to jump into your pants either, but, if you do feel like doing it, you can be sure that I wouldn't hurt you and that I'd wait for you."

My heart felt like it had expanded and with all my might, I kissed him tenderly.

I woke up, what seemed an eternity after that night, and was able to see from the light of the sun piercing through gaps in the tent, that Logan had left. I felt a little cold and bare - I had felt so accustomed to having his arms around me. I crouched up, opened the tent, closing my eyes in response to the sharp light and stepped barefoot outside. I was wearing my panties and a tank top in public but I was too hot to care. Before me sat Finn and Misha on rolled up sleeping bags on the sandy floor, holding drinks between their hands. They both looked up to me and Misha pronounced:

"Well hello there!" she rose her white drink in front of her and pointed out: "Dude, fresh coconut juice!"

My eyes were wide open, I loved anything coconut-ty but was preoccupied by something other than a fresh drink - no matter how much I needed it.

"You can get it at that stand over there," she said as she pointed to a man behind a plastic table a few metres away.

I nodded but asked accidentally and almost immediately: "Do you know where Logan's gone?"

"No" she said.

"Finn?" I questioned.

"Neither" he said in a half groan. He was never a morning person.

Hand just above my eyes shielding from the sun I searched the parameters of the beach. All I saw were sunburned families camping under thick trees and birds pecking at leftover measles on the sand. I looked to my right and then to my left and found three bodies chasing the waves of the pacific ocean in a friendly beat. I smiled as I saw my two best friends and Logan enjoying eachother's company.

I skipped over to them and when Logan turned slightly round to greet me he opened his arm far out, hugged me in a tight embrace and kissed the top of my head.

"Hi babe." I said still smiling and reassured to be in his arms again. He smiled and kissed me a little more.

"You guys..." I heard Sean on our side. "You guys have basically known eachother for what? Five days? Love at first sight!" He grinned as cheesy as it sounded.

Brooke smirked: "And they dont even thank Auntie Brooke! Way to be polite!" She joked.

I threw my hands to my cheeks, embarrassed but thankfully she swiftly changed the subject.

"Guys I say we go join the others. Misha's probably driving Finn mad with her chattering." We laughed and agreed since Misha and Finn were polar opposites in the morning.
