"Ashleigh sit and wait for the jump!" My instructor yelledHe was defiantly tough but he has helped myself and my horse
"You have to sit and wait for the jump ". My instructor told me.
I have been training 9months for this one class I really want to win, I have 3months before the competition is on.
"That's enough for today" He said.
Thank god I thought, I was so tired. I gave my horse a pat before untacking her and putting her back in her paddock.
I walked up to my instructor and asked him.
"Do you think I'm ready for it?" I asked
"It doesn't matter if I think you are ready, it's if you think your ready." He said before leaving.
Am I ready, it's the biggest class in the country, everyone comes together to compete in it.
You can't give up now said the little voice in my head, it definitely was right, I'm not giving up now.
------
"How's everything going with your jumping?" My mum asked me when I walked into the house."Good, I just need to hold her back and wait for the jump to come" I said
"Oh yup sounds good then, next week is the Woodhill nationals, should I enter you?"
"Yup will be a good practice, what heights are there?"
"The 1.40m championship and the 1.50m qualify, will be the classes I will enter you in".
"Okay sounds good" I told mum
"We will be leaving Friday"
----
Finally Friday came around, the truck was packed, Vicky was ready and I was just about to load her up and then we would be leave, I had decided to take my other jumping horse Freddie which I would be competing him in the 7yo series which was 1.30m. We had already won 2 of the classes in the series and we were in the lead by 10 points.
After a 4 hour trip we had finally arrived in Woodhill.
After unloading my horses I decided to take Vicky for a ride.
-----
I had just finished feeding them and putting there other covers on when my Showjumping friends, Luke and Briar came over."Hey guys" I said
"Hey" they both said.
"How are they jumping?" Luke asked
"Really good!" I said
"What classes are you doing tomorrow?" Briar asked
"1.40m championship on Vicky and the 7yo on Freddie, how about you?"
"1.25m, 1.35 and the 1.40m championship"
------
6:00am and my alarm went off, it was now time to go and feed Vicky and Freddie.
I got up and got dressed quickly before going to get their feed bins and bringing them back to the truck, before filling them up again and giving them to them.
Once I got back to the truck I woke my mum up.
----
I was all dressed in my riding clothes and both my horses were tacked up ready to go. I got on Freddie as his class was first.I got in to the warm up ring, when my instructor came over and asked.
"Do you need help warming up?"
