Chapter seven

Recap:
Through the flags they go with a time off 31........

" what around for Sarah, double clear and a time of 31.44, which means that she has won the class by 0.01. Well done Sarah." Said the speaker man.

"Darn it!" I said.

"Hey you did a really good round" said a voice.

I turned around to see Mason standing there.

"Thanks" I said before going into the ring to collect my ribbon.

It was almost time for me compete in the junior rider, I was just warming Dora up.

"Take her over the oxer." Mason said

I did as I was told and aimed her towards the oxer, she jumped over it with heaps of scope.

"Good luck Ash." Said Mason before I went in to the ring.

I cantered passed the judges and saluted. Once I heard the bell ring I cantered through the flags and over the first fence..... We were now coming up to the last fence and we were going clear. Up and over we went and we were clear in the first round.

The bell rung once again, I gave Dora a tap with my foot and cantered her through the flags, once she landed I turned her sharp right and pushed her forward and over the second jump turning her left while she was still in mid air, I pushed her faster once she landed and lengthened her stride until she was over the third fence, I turned her a sharp right and lengthened her stride getting one stride in between the double, clear over the double, I let her galloped towards the last fence and over it, I made her canter fast through the flags. The timer stopped at 23.11 and we were clear.

I gave Dora the biggest pat, knowing I had just won the junior rider of the year at my first show on Dora was an amazing feeling.

Once every one was in the ring again to collect the ribbons and a cover for Dora we did a lap of honour around the ring. Dora galloped and when I say gallop I mean like a race horse. She defiantly knew she had won.

"Give it up to our Winner Ashleigh Style and her horse Dora" said the speaker man.

"Wohoo go Ashleigh and Dora!!!" Said Briar from the sideline.

I came out of the ring when Dora finally got a bit tired from galloping around.

"Omg well Ash!" Luke said while patting Dora.

"Thank you!" I said.

My mum came running up to me and gave me a big hug.

"That was awesome! Well done Hun" my mum said.

Then I heard a scream.

It was Briar running up to me and she gave me a hug and picked me up.

"Briar!!" I said while laughing.

"Omg that was such a good round! Omg well done!!!" She said excitedly.

Then a photographer came over and took a photo of Luke, Briar, me, Dora and mum.

I came Dora a pat and told them I was going to take her back to her stable.

Today was Tuesday and I had the Norwood cup on both Vicky and Shiraz and then the young rider of the year in the afternoon on Vicky.

Mason had Vicky and Shiraz both ready, I got on Shiraz and he got on Vicky. Shiraz was first to go and then Vicky. We started to walk over.
