Chapter 17. Bloodbath

Bella.

The feeling of having him this way again was breathtaking. The feeling of his touch on my skin made me shiver. I tried to breakaway from what was happening because people are dying around us.

At the same time, I didn't want to pull away. I haven't felt him like this in a long time. The hope of having him back in my life again is once again proven to be correct.

I have him back now. And now, if we're together, we're stronger than Tanya. I soon pulled away from the one I love only to, in a blink of an eye, realize that I had been thrown in the air again.

This time, I knew who it was. Once I landed both feet back on the ground I looked up to see Tanya standing there with a smirk. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me, and began to struggle their escape.

I could feel them push me closer to Tanya so I can see the demonic look on her face more closely. My struggles did not end until I felt someone rip whomever was on me to shreds.

"Don't you dare touch her!" I didn't have to look back to know it was Edward.

Instead, I just ran straight towards Tanya. This is when I get to smile in victory at her brutal death. This is when I get to walk away while her dead lifeless body lies on the floor.

"Oh Bella, are you sure you really want to do this?" I stopped once I had her neck in my hands as she pointed to what was in back of me.

"Bella," I could hear his struggles as I tried to turn my head to face him.

I could see his limbs being stretched out ready to be pulled apart if I killed Tanya right now. If I kill her, he goes with her. I was right. No matter what I do, he'll die. No matter what someone will die.

I turned back to face Tanya as a devilish smile stretched across her face, "That's right...if I go, he's goes."

I turned back to Edward to only remember something. I remember what Cassie had told us when she had gave us new gifts.

        "You're still a shield...as well as you Edward. Edward, you can run faster than you could've before, it will help, trust me. Bella, you can make yourself invisible. You both can steal gifts from other gifted vampires. You can cause people pain, like Jane...from the Volturi. And lastly, you both can switch places with each other."

        That's it, I thought to myself.  'You both can switch places with each other.'  I made my eyes meet Edwards and realized what was about to happen.  This is what Tanya wants, and it looks like she's going to get it.

        It was as if something ran through me as I felt a strange tear fall down the side of my cheek as I said my last words Edward will ever hear, "Edward I love you."

        In seconds I forced a shocked feeling to course through my body, and it was then when I felt what had happened to me.  It was then that I realized it had worked.  I switched places, and came to one conclusion...I was dead.
