Chapter 2. Family

Bella.

We bursted through the front door and heard faint screams from the room upstairs. It was Renesmee. We both quickly ran upstairs and found everyone surrounding Renesmee.

"Renesmee, it's almost over...just keep pushing," I heard Jacob's voice fill the room as everyone kept watching Carlisle.

"She's coming?" I asked and moved closer to the bed.

"Yeah...and fast," I heard Carlisle say over a screaming Renesmee.

"Renesmee...you're almost there...one more push!" Jacob said while squeezing my daughters hand.

He was right. In one more push, I saw a little baby slide out from Renesmee. It wasn't a girl though. It was a boy. He was crying as Esme picked him up to show Renesmee.

"Here's little EJ Black," I watched Renesmee's smile grow as she held EJ in her arms.

She took the name I thought of when I was pregnant with her. She said that it would be a reminder of the people she loves the most. I loved that she always thought of others just like Edward. They are identical basically. I smiled over at Jacob who was kissing Renesmee's head.

"Congratulations guys," I whispered while Edward walked over to Renesmee.

"Hi EJ," Edward whispered with a smile while rubbing Renesmee's head.

"That's your grandpa EJ," Renesmee laughed.

"Excuse me? I am most certainly not a grandpa...I'm too young! I'm only seventeen," he laughed holding EJ's little hands.

"Well you are, so suck it up grandpa," I said with a smile while walking over to Renesmee.

"Whatever," he laughed while holding onto my waist.

"So what do we do now?" Jacob asked while picking up EJ from Renesmee's arms.

"I say we take a family photo," Alice said in her usual high-pitched voice.

"I think that would be splendid," Esme said while everyone gathered around Renesmee again.

"Okay on three!" Alice squealed and we all smiled towards the camera.

"Perfect...absolutely perfect," Jacob mumbled while Renesmee started to fall asleep.

"Exactly what I was thinking," I said as I hugged Jacob.

"So what's going to happen to him since he only has a quarter of vampire in his genes?" Jacob asked while looking down at EJ.

"I guess we'll have to wait and see," Edward said with a smile while standing next to me.

"I guess so," Jacob whispered as EJ let out a small yawn.

"Here, Jake I'll take him...you need to get some sleep too," I heard Rosalie say as she walked closer to us.

"Wait what? Did you seriously just call me by my name?" Jacob said a little shocked, and so was I.

"Oh please...I have a heart somewhere. And sure, I may not particularly like you, but I'll hold him so you can get some sleep...I'm nice sometimes you know," she smirked while grabbing EJ from Jacob's arms.

"Okay," Jacob trailed off and walked over to the couch where Renesmee was laying.

I watched as they both cuddled up on the couch together. I smiled over at Edward who was looking over at them.

"Everything will be okay," I assured him while stroking his cheek.

"You're sure?" He asked while turning his gaze back to me.

"Positive," I smiled while reaching up to meet his lips.

"I love you Bella," he whispered while pulling me into a hug.

"And I love you-" I was cut off when I heard a vase break, and Alice screaming.

I ran into the other room where everybody else was in, and we saw everyone's eyes fill with absolute terror.

"What the hell happened?" I looked around to see that Alice was laying on the ground hugging her knees.

"Bella...they're coming for you," my eyes grew wide as everyone turned their eyes over to me in shock.
