Chapter 9

Anna's POP

All I could see was a flash of blue light before we all broke free. I was cold, withering. I looked up, hoping to see my sister there. But instead I saw a stranger. She looked like my sister, maybe even was her, but had black hollowed eyes. So empty, so alone. Her blue shining dress replaced by a grey one. Her blond hair had turned a shade of dark and dull black. When my gaze shifted to her hands, I could see her pinning Rapunzel to the wall.

I saw tears gleaming on Rapunzel's face.

"Exactly what I need, my dear." The old woman in the red robes said, stepping closer to them. She took out a flask and a few tears fell into it.

I tried to get up, my weak kegs trembling. "Elsa." I mumbled, I managed to stand but Pitch punched me and I fell to the ground. Darkness.

Jack's POV

I felt my chains go loose. I looked down and realised that I was free. We all were. I didn't know how, though.

I looked back up at Pitch but realised that he was punching down the princess. Anna, her name was. She fell unconscious to the floor with a thud as her head started to bleed. I widened my eyes, still a little dazed from what had happened.

Next to me, I saw Elsa. No, not Elsa. It was her, but she looked different. She looked...evil, of sorts. She was pushing Back Rapunzel, who looked scared to death.

"Leave her. I've gotten what I wanted." The old woman in the red robes said. Elsa left her as Rapunzel fell to the ground.

"Gothel, take her out." Pitch said to the woman, tilting his head toward Anna.

I got up and punched him square in the face. "Oh, it wasn't much but you'll regret it." Pitch shook his head, recovering from the punch. Where was the real Elsa?

"Where's Elsa?" I asked, my staff in front of his face.

"Right in front of your eyes, Jack Frost." Gothel said, pouting at the dark looking Elsa. "Only, now, she's a puppet whose strings we hold." She smirked. She had quite the bit of an attitude for someone that old.

"No, that's not her." Anna said from the back, apparently awake again. "She's not my sister. Bring her back." She said, despite all the pain.

"It's one way." Pitch grinned, but I could tell he was lying.

I grabbed Elsa's hand and shook her.

"What do you think you're trying to do?" She said. Her voice was sharp and icy. She pushed my to the side, and icicle right at my throat.

"Now now, Elsa, we need him alive." Pitch said.

Merida's POV

I got right up. No time for all o' that nonsense. "I appreciate you trying to stand up for me, dragon boy, but I got this." I said to Hiccup.

"I have a name, Merida." He said, getting up after me. He started to make some sort of weird sounds. And before I knew it, that dragon was in the room. Literally. Toothless leapt on top of Gothel and scratched her arm. He breathed fire at Pitch and he stumbled back in surprise.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Jack shooting ice at Elsa, who seemed to be screaming. Hiccup and I couldn't just stand there. "Come on." I said to him and reached for my bow, which, surprisingly was still there. These guys need to learn how to plan a capture.

I pulled the string at locked the arrow. I released it. I managed to shoot Gothel in the arm.

Hiccup's POV

I didn't know what exactly was happening to Elsa. She was turning on us. Woman, we came here to save your life!

Merida quickly shot Gothel arm. I rushed off to Toothless and Climbed on, taking Merida on after me. I called out to Jack, telling him to bring on Anna and Rapunzel. He got them on safely. That's when Anna started acting up.
"I'm not leaving without Elsa."

Rapunzel's POV

I looked at Anna. We had come this far and we were not going back for her sister who'd clearly been turned evil.

"Anna. I know you love her and you care about her, but right now, this woman is not your sister." I told her, looking into her eyes. Elsa, or whoever she was now, had choked me against the wall! I was not letting her on.

"We're gonna fix her, okay! If she's not coming, I'm not leaving."

I hate people that stubborn.

"Fine. And I know some people who may be able to help." I heard Jack tell her.
Seriously?
"We can come back for her!" I said.
"It'll be too late, Pitch'll be too powerful."

Right, then. No choice but to agree.

Jack flew down and scoped up.Elsa by the hand. Hiccup whistled and in a few seconds, another dragon with two heads was there. Jack got on with Elsa on that one, making sure Pitch and Gothel were given one last blow with his ice. The two dragons shot up. This was beautiful.

But I could still hear Elsa shouting with that cold voice of hers. I knew she was a better person than that, though. Pitch had turned her into a monster.
