She was brave I'd give her that.
Actually scratch that, brave was an understatement Tiffany Coleman was about to become a legend.
By now the crowd had started to grow to a shocking amount, I guess it wasn't really a surprise that everyone at college wanted to witness the event of the year.
Tiffany Coleman was about to ask Noah Knight out on a date, like an actual date with the hand holding, the candlelit dinner and maybe the lingering kiss at the end of the evening. As opposed to the awkward unanswered greetings she gave him as they passed in the school corridors.
A few scenarios crossed my mind in that exact moment like little red riding hood asking the big bad wolf to come in for tea. Like Ursula joining King Neptune on his daily swim through the palace gardens. Like Cinderella actually wanting to spend time with her stepsisters.
Yes, I used kids stories and sometimes even fairytales to explain life situations. Sue me.
But my point was, Tiffany was, how do I put this nicely ?
Mean
She wasn't a blonde by the way because my life was cliché enough without adding mean blondes to the mix and she wasn't stupid either. She was cunning and manipulative almost to the point of frightening.
At that exact moment, she decided to stroll ... stomp up to him with a fierce determination.
Okay, maybe she had passed the point of frightening.
'Ten pounds he doesn't even acknowledge her.'
I looked to my friend Alyssa who seemed to be watching the scene unfold with so much enthusiasm I thought she might spontaneously combust. Her blonde hair was swaying back and forth as she bobbed up and down with excitement and her blue eyes started to sparkle.
'Alyssa, Noah is a gentleman he'll look at her and then walk away without a reply' I was certain of it.
Alyssa shot me a look that screamed 'You're a stalker.'
I wasn't a stalker I just liked to occasionally stare at his face. He had a nice face, a really nice face.
Or maybe I would browse some networking sites and accidentally end up on his profile.
Tiffany hesitated at Noah's locker fixed her long red hair in place then did a quick pat down of her clothes. She didn't need to, though. She looked how she always did. Perfect. While Tiffany wasn't nice, no one could deny her outer beauty. She and her friends spent hours talking about what colour they were all going to paint their nails, I felt like my brain was turning to mush just listening to the conversation. No wonder she thought this would be a good idea. Today she was wearing her tightest skinny jeans, and I couldn't help but wonder how her blood was supposed to circulate. I looked at the upper part of her outfit and the shirt had more buttons undone than done. She wore heels to college which I had nothing against personally. If I was being honest watching Tiffany stride down the halls in heels made me feel like I was an episode of gossip girl and I adored gossip girl, but Alyssa swore if she heard anymore 'click clack' sounds she would rip off the offending heel and shove it up her ...
We're still working on Alyssa's anger issues.
I looked down at my plain outfit, blue boyfriend jeans a plain white tee and I wasn't wearing any shoes. They were way too constricting. I put my hair up in a ponytail just in case a gust of wind blew my hair into my eyes and I missed the whole showdown.
'Are you going to be alright if he says yes to Tiffany, Kiera?' Alyssa looked at me with wariness now.
She thought I had a crush on Noah.
