Oh My Gosh. I already felt so huge. Twenty five weeks pregnant with our fourth child and I still had a few more weeks to go before the baby is born. Today, we were going to the doctor's to find out what the gender of the baby. Blake took us to the hospital at 10:30 and my appointment was at 11am and the kids and Sherri came along with us. When we got there, I filled out the forms at the front desk and we waited for the nurse to call me in.
"I'll watch over the kids for you guys while you guys are in there," said Sherri.
"Thanks Sis," I said.
"Yes. Thank you," said Blake.
"You both are welcome," she said.
"Emily Griffin," said the nurse and me and Blake said "goodbye" to our four kids (Blake had Ford with Brynn and he had Braya, Wilson and Jayna and now our soon to be fourth child with me. So we are, including Ford, are gonna have five kids total.) and went in the back with the nurse. First, they checked my height and my weight. I was at about 168 lbs. Then, she checked my blood pressure and then we went in a room with her.
"So, have you had any complications with your pregnancy so far?" Nurse Marie asked me.
"Well, throughout my first weeks being pregnant, I did get the flu and I was feelin bad. I was throwing up the first few days and had a fever. But I did drink tons of water, had ginger ale as well and I also ate light foods such as soup and all that. But after I got better, I haven't been throwing up lately at all," I said.
"Well, that's good to hear. Who has been taking care of you while you were sick?" Marie asked me and I looked at Blake.
"I have," he said.
"That's good," she said,"well, are you guys ready to find out what you're having?" We both said yes and then she handed me the hospital robe and I put it on me. Then Dr. Jackson came in for the ultrasound.
"Good afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Griffin. How are you both doing?" Dr. Jackson asked us.
"Good and yourself?" Blake said.
"Good thanks for asking. Are you guys ready to find out what you're having?" he said and we said yes. About an hour later, we got the results from the ultrasound.
"Congratulations you two. You are having a bouncing baby boy," he said and Blake and I kissed each other and cried.
"Oh my gosh," said Blake.
"Another boy," I said. Then we said goodbye and walked out to the waiting room to see Sherri and the kids. We grabbed a bag and took out two baby shoes. I had a baby girl shoe and Blake had a baby boy shoe. Then I put the baby girl shoe away and pulled out a sign that said in blue letters Boy and the children squealed with excitement.
"Brother. Brother. Brother. Brother," said Ford, Wilson and Braya. Jayna just sat there in Sherri's lap and smiled and waved her arms around with excitement.
"Congrats you two," said Sherri and hugged us.
"Thank you Sister," I said.
"Thank you," said Blake. Then we all got in the car, got McDonald's and then drove back home. What a great day we're having so far.
