Chapter 7 - Hidden
"You need a spine like I need new skin. But neither will ever happen." Pretense by Knuckle Puck.
"What do you think you're doing?" He asked, his voice surprisingly calm.
I stayed with my back to him, afraid that if I turned to face him, he'd jump me. "I'm getting my friends back."
"I don't think you should do that."
"Why? Because you won't like it? Because it means I'm getting my way for once?" I was getting pissed. He had no right to tell me what I could and couldn't do.
"I don't think you will like it."
I turned around and glared at him. "What the hell does that mean?"
"Your friends have asked not to see you."
"You're lying."
"I'm not. They specifically told me not to let you see them."
"They wouldn't do that." My friends would never ask such a thing. They wouldn't push me away when we needed each other the most. He had to be lying.
"I'm not trying to hurt you, Katrina. I'm telling you the truth."
Tears started to fill my eyes and I couldn't stop them as they spilled out. Whether he was lying or not, I was upset. I was hurt.
He held out his hand for me to take. "Forget about them."
"They're my best friends." I whispered.
"Katrina-"
I bolted. Before he could say anything more, I ran. I didn't exactly know where I was going but I figured anything was better than just standing still.
I tried a door to my left and it opened. Though I wasn't prepared for what was inside.
There was a bed and a dresser and nothing else. On the bed was Sam and Sarah. They were naked from what I could see. Sam was holding himself over Sarah, a sheet covering the middle of his back down.
They didn't see me nor hear me, which was surprising. But then again they were having sex so anything else was probably pushed aside.
I felt hurt, betrayed. As far as I knew, Sam liked me. He flirted with me all the time so that was basically obvious. To go and sleep with Sarah, my best friend, was the worst thing he could've done. And for Sarah to sleep with him... I couldn't be friends with someone who did that to me. I couldn't.
Before I could utter a word, let tears fall down my cheeks, or scream, Tommy pulled the door shut and locked it. How it got unlocked, I don't know.
He grabbed my arm roughly and started dragging me in the opposite direction. I didn't argue or fight him or anything.
I followed him down the hallway. He didn't take me to his room but to another one with a bed in it. The rest of the room was bare.
He shoved me inside then slammed the door shut. He locked it before he left.
I didn't bother banging on the door or yelling for him to come back. I needed time to be alone. Time to grasp what had just happened, what I'd just seen.
I just curled up on the floor and cried it out.

Tommy was gone for a while. I didn't know how long he left me in the room by myself but I was sure it was a good part of the day. He was mad, I knew that, and he probably needed time to calm down before he came back for me. I needed time to calm down before he came back for me.
I had drug the blanket and pillow from the bed and used them on the floor to sleep. I wasn't intending to hide from him but I slept against the bed on the side away from the door. Since there was no clock in the room, or window, I had no idea how long I'd been in there or even what time of day it was.
I was asleep when Tommy finally came for me. He picked me up in his arms and walked me back to his room. He set me in the bed, tucked me in, and let me sleep.

Let me know what you thought! This chapter was definitely an emotional one.
