Chapter twenty-two

Tehilla P.O.V

I have been waiting two hours now and Ash still hasn't come back yet I'm really starting to get worried.

Maybe I should go look for him.

I got out of the bed and opened the door. As I began to walk down the stairs a figure sat on the couch in the living room. Gently stepping on the floor I walked closer to Ashton in the dark crying.

"Ash?"

As he heard my voice he hurriedly wiped away his tears.

"Ash," I began to speak again "I'm sorry that I brought up your family if I knew it would have hurt you like this I would have never talked about it or brought it up."

"Little one come here," he called.

I walked over to the chair he was sitting on and stood in front of him. He gently pulled me down on his laps and burring his face in my shoulder. I began to feel tears on my blouse.

"Its all my fault," he sobbed

I began to grow confused.

"What's your fault Ash?"

"That my family is dead-"

"No Ash its not" I interrupted him.

It hurt both me and my wolf to see him like this.

"It was nine years ago. My dad was having a meeting with a neighboring pack far away, so it was just my mom, my little brother and me. I was waiting up all night to be the first one to greet my dad and mom was upstairs taking care of my little brother Austin.

I could have sworn my dad was home because he wasn't usually this late so I ran outside to go cheek. My mom must have heard when the door was opened so she rushed downstairs. She never allowed me to go out late at night in case something bad should happen. I began to walk around looking for my dad cause I was sure i heard him calling my name. At the same time my mom was looking for me. I began to walk into the Forrest but before I could go in my mom grabbed me. She asked what I was doing out here and I told her dad was calling me. She began to scold me about playing pranks like this on her. We were about a few steps away from the house when my mom heard Austin scream. She ran up towards the house but of course she was faster than me. When I got to the room she-she' his sobs began to grow louder as I began rubbing his hair to comfort him.

'She was pinned to the ceiling bleeding from stomach. I began calling for help and the next thing I know is that her body was on fire.

I rushed over to Austin's bed to take him and run but he was gone. I began calling him but the smoke began to choke me so I ran out of the house. Pack members began to gather and run into the house while I sat down crying utterly helpless. The beta told me that my mom was dead and that Austin was gone without a trace. They say that the room smelt of a witch and rouges and things just continued to get worst my dad was murdered by rouges on his way hone that same night and after that I became cold and distant. The title of alpha was later on handed down to me. I began to slaughter rogues ad an act of revenge. I would leave the pack for a week and then come back coated in blood from head to toe and a while Blake and Sam began to let me reason and I began to stop. If I had just not left the house that night and if I was only stronger.'

Tears began to run down his face as he finished telling me about his past. I felt his pain through every word as I turned to comfort him.

"Ash you need to let go of your past," I cried

"I can't," he cried back

"Please Ash its tearing you apart inside and it will do the same to us take tonight for example Ash please I beg of you let go," I cried pleading to him.

"Okay I'll try," he whispered kissing my temple "I'll let go of my past for you,"

"No Ash not just for me only but for you too," I began wiping my tears.

"Okay I'll do it for me too." He then smiled "You know I love you right?"

"I love you too Ash," he then kissed my lips gently in which I returned the favor.

"Let me take you to bed you seem tired," he whispered in my ear. He lifted me into his arms and began walking me to the room.

"Goodnight Little one,"

"Goodnight Ash," I whispers then I began to drift of into a deep slumber.
