What Happened Last Summer?

Chapter 2

(Alissa's POV) I waited outside for Theo to pick me. Usually Theo, Lana, and I would drive to school together. It was 6:40. He usually picked me up at 6:30 to get to school at 6:45. I decided that if he wasn't coming to just call him. I dialed his phone number but no one picked up. I decided that I should call James. Luckily, he answered. "Heyo!" James said into the phone. "Hey James, could you do me a favour?" I said. "Alissa? Well yeah I guess. What's up? Are you with Theo and Lana?" James said. "Um no. That's the problem," I said trying not to sound as desperate and worried as I really was. "I'll be there in a few," James said. "Thank you, thank you James!" I said. "No problem Ali. I'd do anything for you," James said, using the nickname that I only let Theo, Trey, and James call me. He hung up and soon enough I saw him pull up in front of my house. I hopped in the backseat. "How many girls have you messed with back here," I said. "Too many but I wish it was you," James said. James was known as a big flirt. This was normal. I decided to play along. This would make James want me and Trey would get mad, which would make him desperate. I could have both of these boys wrapped around my finger and trust me I would love that. "My birthday is coming up maybe that could happen," I said kissing James' cheek. It wasn't like I have never done that. As much as James was a flirt, I kinda was too. The look on Trey's face looked like he was annoyed out of his life right now. I loved it. Soon we were at school and we got there right on time. Usually we would all get there early. I was very mad so James, Trey, and I avoided Lana and Theo all day. Aislinn, however, decided to stay with Theo and Lana. I didn't really care. I was hanging and flirting with 2 really hot and funny guys so who would pass this up. It wasn't like I liked James and Trey for their looks, I liked them because of how they were both so nice to me and would stick up for me when no one else would. Soon school was over and usually we all would go home together in Theo's car because James always left his car here for his mom,who worked at the school, to drive home. Instead James, Trey, and I were all walking back home. After a few minutes of silence, we saw Theo, Lana, and Aislinn pull up next to us. "Hey James and Trey! You two hotties wanna join me in this backseat?" Lana said from inside the car. It got even worse when I saw Aislinn winking at James and Trey. Which was unusually considering that we all know that she likes Theo. Something was up and I was bound to find out. But for now I was letting anger control me. James punched Trey on the shoulder and gave him a look which looked like he wanted to go with Lana. 'That b-' I was cut off from my thoughts when Trey said, "Don't worry I won't leave you." I saw James looking desperate to go so I just said,"Go on with those sl**s! I don't care." I ran away with both James and Trey following me but I was too fast. I ran so far that I didn't even know where I was and I had lived here for 15 years. I was lost so I decided to call someone. I took out my phone to find that it was dead. "What great timing," I said out loud to myself. Not a single car, person, stray animal was in sight. All there was, was an empty, abandoned building. And me sitting there. But it wasn't like I was mad about it. I was always planning the day that I'd run away and kill myself. Why not let it be today? I went into my book bag that had been on my shoulders the whole time. I found a razor and cut my wrists. It bled and it bled. It hurt so much but I just loved the pain. I kept cutting until I felt like I was almost unconscious. "This was the most fun I've ever had," I said before cutting another cut and going unconscious.
