No phone, no laptop, no television for two weeks.
Jessalyn got up, ate, went to school, back home, did homework, showered, bed and repeat.
She did help Scilla unpack the boxes, lifting what she was told to. She also fixed her room up, throwing out the twin size bed and replaced it with the one she had in Georgia.
School was the worst part of the two weeks of punishment. In class there was nothing to detract Jessalyn from actually paying attention to the teachers and work. It just so happens that when Jessalyn listens to the teachers, her brain goes into ‘School work´ mode. She isn’t a genius, she is smart, and studying comes natural to her. When she got home and went straight to homework her aunt and uncle looked at her like she had killed a kitten or something.
Monday detention wasn’t bad. She was alone and they sent her to help in the school’s library. Gabriel had a called family emergency, she wanted to ask Mischa, but he didn't seem like he wanted to talk about it.
She dodged Gabriel as best she could, but the guy seemed to be everywhere, giving her a kiss on the cheek when she bumped into him the hallway, staring at her at lunch. It freaked Jessalyn out but she figured he wanted her to go apeshit on him so she ignored it. It didn’t help that she would blush everytime he kissed her cheek and look as red as a tomaotoe. Easter ignored her, well not really ignored her, it was more of both of them not speaking to eachother, although Jessalyn would feel eyes staring at her in class and when she turned around Easter would quickly look away. She didn’t ask her about the bruise she had the day of the party. Jessalyn wasn’t going to get in it. Like Easter said, Jessalyn wasn’t her friend, so why should she care.
Mischa seemed oblivious to everything that was going on. He did talk to both Jessalyn and Easter at lunch. Even tried to get a conversation with Jessalyn and Gabriel, eyeing them like he knew something Jessalyn did. She ignored it of course.
Jessalyn was so bored she re-read the whole harry potter series, vampire academy, Jessalyn even snuck all of Scilla’s Nicholas Sparks books, which Jessalyn thought were alright, sappy but they helped pass the time, she even had the time she read J.R Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series that her aunt had been hiding from her. Of course Scilla found out and was more embarrassed more the anger, since the stories were for adults not teenagers. Sex novels, Jessalyn called them. But they kept her entertained.
She didn’t have any way in contacting Taylor, and Jessalyn knew she was going to be mad since Jessalyn didn’t have the time to tell her about having an extra week of punishment.
