I'm running as fast as I can in a forest. I can't feel my feet I look down and it's bare. I feel something wet trickling down my face and touched my face, barely seeing in the dark, I notice that it's blood. When did I start bleeding? How the hell did I get here? I stop running. Why was I running? Am I running away from something or towards something? What in fucks sake is this? A branch snap and I turn around quickly. "Hey! Is anyone there? Come out and stop been a pussy". I yell into the trees like a crazy person.
Whoosh. I turn around there's no one there. It's just the wind, my mind is playing tricks on me .I try convincing myself but failed. I start to walking in any direction, not knowing where I am or how I'm gonna get the hell out of this creepy ass place. I might have walked for about 5 mins when I heard a scream,and of course been the dumbass bitch always looking for an adventure, I run towards the scream. Another scream came from the same direction and I'm running faster towards the noise now. I see a guy his head tilted and the source of the scream a woman.
"Please stop. Please. You said no more. You said no more ,please. You promised". I can hardly hear her.I'm looking around for a stick or something big enough to knock this man out.
I am about 10 feet away from them, walking with great stealth towards the man. Closer, and closer I get with every step. 5 feet away and the man turns around. His eyes are red and bloodshot. He has two fangs coming out of his mouth and what I am assuming to be blood down all over his shirt and mouth.
What type of creature is this? In a blink of an eye swoosh and the man is gone with the woman. I turn around frantically. Where did this strange man go to? Did I imagine that?

"Bri! BRI! Wake the hell up". I open my eyes and see Ash, she's shaking me so hard and her nails are digging into my skin. "Finally. You better not scare me like that ever again". Ash said with worry in her tone and eyes. "Ugh. What happened? The last thing I remembered was opening the door to the basement". I say to her, trying to remember anything after that moment.
"So you don't remember what you saw when you opened the door?" She said with multiple emotions across her face. Ash has never been the type to keep straight faces or secrets from me.
"Tell me everything that happened NOW". I ordered her but of course, Ash does what Ash wants.
"I'll tell you when you are better. Get some rest now. I made up an excuse for you to miss breakfast but I can't make one up for lunch". I tried to rest but the amount of pounding in my head and the strange dream that I had left me restless.
I get up to use the washroom and walk past a mirror. Yikes. I look like I haven't slept in years. A good hot bath would solve that no doubt. I ring the bell for the maid and it surprisingly took her less time than I expected for her to get up here. I couldn't bring my maid because she just had to fall in love and move away with her beau. That sounds really selfish and spoilt. Sometimes I hate me, to be honest.
"Your Majesty". The maid said as she curtsied
"Please, you don't have to curtsy. What is your name?" I ask her trying to be friendly.
"Anna, Your Majesty" She reply looking down all the time. I can sense that she is a shy girl. I'm a good judge of character if I do say so myself.
"Anna, could you please make me a bath?" Even though I'm not supposed to say please or thank you, I always feel obliged to.
"Right away Your Majesty". She said exiting the chamber like she was running away.
KNOCK-KNOCK
"Who is it?"
"Kai"
Crap. He can't see me like this even though I don't like him, I would not want him to think I always look like a monster.
"Uhh. Hold on", I tied my hair up and wiped my face with a cloth, "You can come in".
Black big heavy boots, black pants, a crisp white shirt that I would say is a little bit too tight with a black bow tie and a black coat was what the Prince was wearing. His blond hair was sleek to the back making the features of his face look sharper. He took long purposeful strides towards my bed where I was sitting and stood in front of it, his hands behind his back.
"Sorry to bother you. I just came to see if you were feeling better, Lady Ashely said you were not feeling good". His deep voice boomed out loud filling the entire room, his eyes meet mine for a brief second before he looked away.
"Yes, I am feeling better. Thank you. Why would you bother yourself coming here to see how I'm feeling? It's not like you ever acknowledged that I was alive, never bothered to send any letters in all the years we've been betrothed". I say looking him straight in the eye so calm that it sounded cold.
I really did not realize I just said that. Oh well.
Obviously surprised by my outburst, he was at a loss for words. The moment he opened his mouth to respond, five maids came in. 4 of them were carrying 2 big pails of what I guess is my water and the 5th one had a towel, a rag and a soap for me. The Prince immediately excuses himself and leaves.
Why does he always have to run away from me like I'm some kind of disease he doesn't want to catch? It's not like I'm begging him to fall in love with me, a little courtesy that I'm actually human would be nice.
After my bath, I had just barely enough time to get dressed for lunch. Ash was already talking about her latest adventures and the ones yet to come. I'm debating whether to tell her about my crazy dream or not. Ash and I never kept anything from each other but she's so consumed in her own word that I don't want to take her away from her fantasy.
"Are you feeling a lot better?" the king asks me from across the room. I am legit so uncomfortable right now. To my left, Kai or as the maids likes to call him Sir gloomy behind his back of course. According to what Anna told me if he finds out what they call him behind his back, he would actually execute them. Lord! He is such a snob. Lucky for me, Ash is to my right but she is too busy eyeing one of the footmen to have a conversation with me. The queen sits at one end of the table and the king at the other. Right across from me, Fay is consumed by her convo with Clara. I have known Clara my entire life. At first, I didn't like her cuz she seemed standoffish but when I actually got to know her she is an amazing woman. I am so jealous of her long black curls with natural highlights. I have always hated my hair. It seems so plain beside hers. I am pretty sure nothing about me is special except the fact that I'm a princess.
Why do I always have to be so insecure about my looks?
After I finally managed to convince the king that I'm perfectly fine, I continued my lunch in peace. Later, we all went to the drawing room and a valet introduces the least person I expected to see at that moment.
