The streets of zootopia ( Nick x Judy)

Chapter 1

A/N: This is my first story so the chapters are gonna be short, but I do hope you enjoy the story. If i get good reviews then I may might write more. But updates will only happen on weekend because of school. Enjoy!

The cold night air caused my fur to rise the small bunny cuddled in my arms nodding of to sleep.

"Come on carrots," I gently whispered "time for bed" she stirred slightly but didn't wake up. I sighed picking her up bridal style and bringing her to the bed.

I walked back to the living room to clean up a bit. Hearing a gentle knock at the door, I cursed under my breath.

"Who in the hell could that be at this hour?" I said to the empty room.

"Who the hell..." I was about to tear this animal a new one before noticing no one their. I looked left then right, I was about to close the door but I heard a noise and looked down.

I noticed a basket, moving aside the blankets I saw an orange nose poke threw the fabric revealing the snout of a fox pup. I read the letter on the side of the basket

"Dear Nick,
He's your problem now, I cant afford to take care of another pup he's your son so you take responsibility. Hopefully you'll raise him right from wrong so he doesn't start out like you did.
Yours truly,
Sheila"

I looked down at the pup and ran a paw through the fur on my head.

"Judy's gonna kill me when she finds out" I said in a low tone

"Find out about what?" I heard from a tired yet irritated bunny behind me, causing me to wince.

I turn to find a very grumpy Judy behind me, tapping her foot impatiently. She noticed the baby fox in the basket, and stared daggers at me.

"Nick what's going on?" She asked through clenched teeth.

I picked up the basket with the sleeping fox and turned back around to face Judy.

"This little guy may or may not be my son" I explained sheepishly.

Judy ears stood up, but soon went back down as her gaze softened when she saw the pup. She slowly reached down to pick up the baby, and began to cradle him gently in her arms.

"Oh nick what are we gonna do, I don't know if we' re ready to be parents yet." She said with a softened tone

"I don't know cottontail, but we'll figure it out as we go." I said as I wrapped the pup and Judy in a big hug.

"Your not off the hook though," she whispered "you still have explaining to do."

I swallowed the lump in my throat dreading that time later.
