Chapter 11

A/N: what's happening fox nation I'm officially back with a new chapter. so sorry for taking so long I lost interest in the fandom, then I came back and saw all the views. so thanks for the love and for the followers who have been waiting since the start of the book.

*Nick's POV*

As Shido helped me finish unloading the car I parked it in the barn and opened the rear hatch exposing where the spare tire would be and pulling out the guns I brought along an skeletonized AR-15, 2 Glock 18's and an M2000 Intervention noticing how much easier it was to hold the rifle, because of the new appendages 'what did Shido call them, hands I think' I thought to myself

  "Beautiful gun" Shido says leaning against the doorway of the barn " we can go out to the field later and shoot 'em if you want." he says turning and motioning for me to follow him

We walk over to a shed outside the house and Shido opens the door to show its empty except for a keypad on the rear wall. I walk in side as he types in some numbers and I feel the ground below me start to shake and slide downwards 'it's an elevator' I realize.

"where are we going?" I ask still holding the guns I've just unloaded from the car which are starting to feel pretty heavy.

"we're heading down to the bunker it's where I store all my weapons and EXO's." he says while looking down at his phone.

  As the elevator shaft slows down we arrive in front of another door this one heavily armored. Shido clicks a button on his phone and the large bolt holding the door shut slides open. I walk into the room seeing 4 large capsules along one wall, a large console in the center of the room, and weapons along the wall to my left.

"You can store your weapons along the left wall then I have something to show you on the right side." Shido says walking off across the room to the center console.

As I finish storing my weapons I walk to the other side of the room and stare at one of the capsules labeled #3 in large yellow characters across the front "so what are these?" I asked over my shoulder while still staring at the capsules

"EXO suits, and that one is yours now." I hear him say from the center of the room as he pushes a button and the cylinder rotates to reveal a suit much like the one I saw yesterday, just this one had green LED's "go ahead climb in" Shido tells me, as I climb in the suit it closes up around me and the mask deploys displaying the HUD.

"This is amazing who made these?" I ask looking at my hands and moving around a bit.

"Dad did, that one use to be his" Shido said lowly, as silence settled over the room realizing I was using my deceased brothers suit.

"How did it happen?" I asked quietly my voice distorted by the suit

"Cancer while developing those suits he experimented with some dangerous stuff, but he was determined to complete them." Shido said with a sorrowful smile. "Anyways reach to the rear along where your belt would be you'll feel a knife and some knuckles like you're used too."

I reached to the rear and grabbed the knife and knuckles inspecting them, the knuckles were all titanium, and the blade was a carbon fiber timascus blade. I Started tearing up knowing that these where presents I had given my brother for his birthday years ago and after all this time he had kept them.

"Thank you" I whispered sheathing both of the weapons, looking up at Shido with a smile as tears started to run down my face.

as we were eating dinner chicken and rice with broccoli it was silent except for the occasional clatter of silverware.

"ummm...." Judy said speaking up " can I have some chicken please."

me and Kylee (A.K.A used to be Kyle) dropped our forks and looked up in shock as Shido and Layla looked at me and Kylee surprised.

"You want to eat meat?" we both asked In unison, our jaws practically hitting the floor.

"Y-yeah... for some reason the idea doesn't bother me and It smells so good." she replied nervously a blush forming along her pale cheeks.

"Why is that so surprising, I mean she is human after all." Layla asked slightly confused

" Be- because she use to be a bunny, and bunny's don't eat meat last time I checked." I said still slightly shocked

"oh yeah, I forgot you guys weren't always human." Layla said " anyways human are omnivores, so it doesn't surprise me her taste has changed."

I just shrugged and passed Judy the plate of chicken breast, then looked back at Shido and Layla.

"So how did you two meet?" I asked pointing in between the two with my fork

Layla blushed slightly and slid closer to Shido "He rescued I used to live on the streets and on one of his trips into the city I met him. He was so kind and giving I just fell in love with him."

" I brought her back home offered her a place to stay until she could get back onto her feet. But one thing lead to another and I ended up falling in love with her as well, and well here we are." Shido finished placing a loving arm across her shoulder and kissing her cheek.

"Aww... that's so cute" Judy gushed with a giant grin.

"how did you two meet" Shido inquired

"I conned her to buy me a giant popsicle, teased her a bit, then helped her solve a case." I said with a smirk forming " then I joined the police force and fell for an overconfident bunny who lived by the rules."

" And I slowly fell in love with a mischievous and sly fox who sometimes caused me more trouble than he solved" Judy said with smile

"and what about Kylee where does she come in on all this" Layla asked looking over at the little girl stuffing her face now realizing everyone was looking at her.

"Kylee is my blood daughter who I originally didn't know I had until my ex left her or at the time him on my door step." I said looking at my child with a smile " and Judy here helped me raise her so she is pretty much Kylee's mom." I finished, putting my hand on top of Judy's as I looked between both of my beautiful girls.
