Battle for Earth

1 - Good morning Sleepyhead

I woke up sound of someone screaming. It was a loud and pretty annoying noise. The sleeping cell I was sleeping in were warm and cozy. Well, at least for some minutes. I jumped down from the cell and noticed that all the other sleeping cells above me were empty. I was alone.
"Seth!" I heard a deep voice belonging to a man.
"Yeah!" I answered with a sleepy voice.
"Where are you, you're late!" The man's voice where a bit annoyed and angry.
I walked over to my bag, hanging on some hooks beside my sleeping cell. Everything is so boring here. After no one could live on earth everyone has moved to space. Well we are basically living in a big mothership, it is moving around Earth. It has its own orbit.

"Seth, what are you doing?!" The man's voice were really angry now and I started to get a bit nervous.
"I'm coming!" I answers a bit annoyed.
I ran down the stairs and I met sixteen eyes all starring at me. Everyone were standing two lines. I walked over to an empty space.
"Seth!" The man's voice rumbled. "Twenty sit-ups!"
I started doing the sit-ups. I knew that If I were late I needed to do sit-ups.
"As you all know we have a schedule, no one can disobey it." He looked at me when he was saying that.
"Yes sir, yes!" Everyone shouted, me too.
The "sir" everyone is obeying actually have a name. His name is Andrew James, but he wants to be called just "Sir" or in the worst case "Mr James". Andrew James is an grumpy old man, not more interesting than that.

I was done with all the twenty sit-ups. I stood up and Mr James started talking  again.
"Today!" He said with his deep voice.
"You will train to the annual ceremony!"
The annual ceremony, it is where they choose the best student of the year, and the best team of the year.

"You are going to battle against each other, the winner will be getting a price." Mr James sounded very serious when he said price.
I knew I was a great fighter so I might have a chance getting that price he was talking about, but I also knew that this group I am a manner of has some pretty good fighters too. We'll see!

I walked up the stairs to get ready for the practice. I missed my time on earth. I did not have to go up to battle school just normal school. Everything was fine. I knew for a long time that Earth was not a safe place anymore. After all the wars and after letting radioactive substances into the air, people couldn't live on earth. We would die. I don't know what is happening down on earth, I have always wondered what's going on.

We were all lined up in the training area. It stench sweat.
"I will pair you up in two and two!" Mr James said with an normal voice.
He pointed at two people. They immediately walked over to the battle area.
"These two will fight against each other and the winner will fight against the winner of the other pair!"
The two started fighting. It was a little guy verses a taller and much stronger guy. It was a bit unfair, the little guy were not strong. I hoped for his sake that he were smart so he could somehow feint the big guy. But unfortunately he did not, and lost.

The battle continued and Mr James called out pair after pair. After a while it was my turn. I started to feel a bit nervous. I din not usually do that. Mr James pointed at me and I had to fight against Chase. Chase is a person that thinks he is the coolest person in the universe. Well, he isn't, but he is pretty strong.
I walked over to the battle area, the same did Chase. Mr James did a gesture with his arm that meant we could start. Chase immediately tried to hit me on the side, but I blocked his try. He was faster than I expected. The battle went on. I started to get a bit bored. I took Chase over my back and threw him over my head so he did a volt.
"Winner is Seth!" Said Mr James.
I was proud of myself. Chase has teased me for a long time. I hope after this he won't do it anymore.
Yeah battle kept on going. This time I was going to fight against that big guy in the beginning, I don't remember his name.
"Oh wow, this is not going to work!" I thought to myself. He is like three times bigger than me! I walked over to the battle area. The big guy smiled at me. It was an evil smile. I started thinking about the first battle. The one with this guy and the little. This big guy was not a fast thinker. If I feint him I may have chance.
"Are you ready?" Asked Mr James.
"Yeah!" Responded the big guy and smiled his evil smile to me. I just nodded to Mr James as respond.
"Ok, go!"
The big guy jumped right at me. I were fast to act so I jumped to the side. I saw how the guy got a bit frustrated, maybe I could use this? The guy tried to hit me this time but I ducked. I threw him over my back so he did a volt and landed on his back. Mr James started clapping his hands.
"Great Seth, great!" He smiled.
I have never seen Mr James clapping his hands and smile. I were so surprised. I looked around me and all the others were just like me really surprised.
"Uhm, OK?" I said.
"Everyone, training is over!" He said.
Everyone started walking out the door. I started following them but was never able to reach the door until Mr James said.
"Seth! I have to talk to you."
