The day went past in a blur. A blur of the useless days he had to go through. Greta and him were not talking, barely exchanging eye contact. "You lied to me", she whimpered. In her waitress uniform, Greta looked like a vulnerable child. She was once, but when she joined the OJ gang. He shook the thought out passing a tub of substance to some lady. She looked like a mess. Dark hair, blue eyes that were swollen. It reminded him of his sister. The way her mouth turned in curiousity. Tears formed in his eyes. "Are you okay?", asked the girl. He nodded and beckoned for her to leave. She shook her head. "I'm Annie, you are?". Efren would never say his name. "Derby". Annie titled her head in confusion. "Epsom Derby, the place Emily Davidson die trying to give the kings horse a Suffragette ribbon. So I think?". The life started to come into this girl's face. Her cheeks became redder, like a blush. Efren balanced on his hip. "Whats a smart girl doing on the street taking these". Efren dangled a packet of 'Snow white'. Annie's smile was watery. "Are you off work now". Before he left. Greta said. "I am working a night shift today. Don't worry and don't come looking for me". The displacement in her voice was different to comprehend. "Yeah I'm off now". It was a midsummer of darkness. "Well I can explain everything, if you come and get a drink at a nightclub". Your married, said a voice. You betrayed her enough. But she was...busy. Annie waited impatiently, moving around alot. "Okay, where shall we go?".
