Varus' POV

"Pft." my mouth couldn't handle it. The excuse would be too hilarious.

Then I knew it'd be immature to say so. I mean, I was mean but I have my own business. My joy faded off as soon as I thought that. She stared at me in confusion. I looked around and found out Annie and Ahri were out of sight.

"Where's Ahri and Annie?" I asked her. She too looked for them.

"They ran away again." She answered in annoyance.

"Why are you still wearing a robe?" I asked once more.

"I don't want to be seen in that trashy place. The atmosphere is just so.. disgusting. I'd rather drink the nectar of grapes than things in there." Her voice started to lower down.

"Um, hello?" I tapped my finger lightly on her shoulder. She was breathing heavily.

"I'm diz--" She fainted right before she could finish her sentence.

I had second thoughts if I should catch her or not, but the time I made a decision, she already fell. If I left her there, someone might blame me or she might sue me which could result to my penalty. But if I carry her, what would happen? I snapped back to reality only to find out I was already carrying her on my back. She wasn't that heavy. She was like a thicker and heavier version of my scarf. Not with a sudden change of heart, no. I just don't want to be in a cell and be suspended.

She was talking in her "sleep". "Where are you.." she said in a calm way. Weird though, it was not her normal voice. It sounded like a different person and it sounded so familiar. My chest started to tighten up. It's as if.. heh, self-centered much, Varus? Her voice is too distracting. I was walking towards the dorms when it started to rain. Just great. I looked my reflection from a puddle.

'What would she say when she sees you?' I thought.

"Don't bury--" Bury? My eyes widen in surprise with her sleep talk. I looked at her. Her hair faded from brown to pink. The leaves around her face started to melt through her skin. Her face looked so familiar.. I've forgotten whose face though. My eyes became heavy.

I continued to walk. I wish I can die soon. Maybe I should leave her alone and be locked up in the penalty cell. But I can't leave someone so similar to a person I loved so much. Help me, please..

Zyra's POV

I woke up with a soft blanket. Even the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to stand. I observed my surroundings. Most stuff were dark and burnt.

'This isn't my room.'

I sat and stretched my arms. My eyes were still blurry.

"Where am I?" I asked the silent atmosphere. A light snore from the floor replied. I moved my head below and saw an old person sleeping. I rose from the bed and tried to peek to the person's face. Pale face but still blurry. I roamed around the dorm. The floor was carpeted with white. The floor felt fluffy and heavenly. Parallel to me was a long couch facing the window. I sat on the middle. Though it looked rugged, it was so soft and relaxing to sit on.

"Why are you still here?" a deep voice daunted me. Wait, don't tell me..

"I asked why are you still here?" I turned to see the annoying archer's dull face. His eyes hinted a slight surprise but his face still lack concern.

"Whose dorm is this?" I asked, regaining my neutral pulse.

"Mine." He took a cup and poured brown liquid, assuming it's coffee.

"Now answer me." He sipped from his utensil.

"I wanted to know how horrible this place is. But to my surprise, this place is even better than that heart of yours." I sunk to the very soft couch. I felt relieved.

He growled and took another sip. "You're heavier than a box of stones."

"As if you know my weight." I darted back.

"If only you knew what happened." he murmured.

"What happened?" I rolled my eyes.

"Well, Miss Flower-Who-Knows-A-Lot, you fainted last night while walking home." His blight started to spread throughout his skin.

"And you, oh I don't know, drew stuff to my face and maybe poisoned me?" I started to question him. He noticed my disbelief.

"I carried your annoying and sleep-talking self through the rain just to freaking bring you to a shelter." He stood with his fist coiled.

"What do you mean you carried me?" What's with the change of heart?

"I CARRIED YOU THE TIME YOU FAINTED. YOU SUDDENLY LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE I really know and," He halted his speech.

"I DID THAT BECAUSE I DON'T WANT PEOPLE THINKING THAT I KILLED YOU OR SOMETHING." A dead air follwed his rant. I was silent. I couldn't talk.

"Just leave already." He returned to his bedroom.

I..

Zyra has two options: 1) She'll follow him to his bedroom. 2) She'll follow him and leave. If you choose 1, read URF Again. If you choose 2, read The Argument.
