Howdy everybody! Unfortunately for me, school is starting soon which means, for those of you that are ready my story, I probably won't be updating as much. Don not fret though reader, I will try not to be in my laziest state these last few days of summer, so I can get some solid writing done! Enjoy!

The evening of the celebration had arrived sooner than Gumball thought it would. Even though all decorations and snacks were in place, he felt and looked a mess. Luckily, peppermint butler was always right by his side to, get him back on track. Peps grabbed the prince by the wrist and hauled him to his royal chambers. Gumball had hosted lots of events before and he loved doing so, except this time was different. There was a name on the list of RSVP's that hadn't ever turned up before, Marceline the Vampire Queen. It's basically the equivalent to when you see your crush at school. You know their going to be there but you still have that strange knot in your stomach. This was simply too exhausting of a situation for Gummy and he insisted on lying down and taking a royal nap!

"What if I get bags under my eyes! I'll seem bored or uninterested to the candy people! THEN WHAT WILL THEY THINK OF ME!?"

"Don't you mean, then what will she think of you? I know that you are not worried about the candy people judging you Prince. You're just stressing about Marceline coming tonight. Yet you really have nothing to worry about, she won't even talk to you." this was supposed to be Peps way of cooling down the prince and, altough this method seemed a little peculier, it always seemed to work.

"If you really are stressing that much though, take one of these." Peppermint butler reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small looking pill. "That'll sure as hell chill you out."

"Uuumm.... okay?" Gumball replied unsure wether to take the pill or just stay in his lab until the party had ended. Never the less, he took the pill and felt a serge of energy burn through his body. He felt excited and happy! A huge smile emerged on his face, expanding from ear to ear.

"That a boy!" Peppermint butler cheered with glee, "now lets get ready to par-tay!"

" Yeah... PARTY!!" Gummy practicly screamed. So much so that his loud mouth reached all the way to the main hall where the party was being held. This caused a massive eruption among the candy people and, everyone began to break out into wild and rambunctious dance moves.

Marceline was in her room getting ready for the party. She was going to make sure Gumall noticed her and how well she was doing. He was going to see that she wasn't the fragile little girl that could have her emotions toyed with any longer. She slipped into one of her little black dresses and slipped on a pair of nice shoes, which had a bit of a heel. Then for the finishing touches, she clipped a tight necklace around her neck. Now all she had to do was wait for Ash to come. He was already late though! He had the tendancy to that, but everyone is late sometimes. After an additional thirty minutes of waiting, he finely arrived. She heard him knock at the door and, she hurried downstairs to answer. As she opened the door, she caught sight of her boyfriend dressed in a ripped vest with jeans and sneackers.

"Hey stranger, nice of you to show up!" she said jokingly, and Ash caught on.

"Yeah I, was in the neighborhood and thought I would stop by." he responded with equaly as much sarcasm.

Ash nodded his head back, in the direction of the entrance to the cave. Signaling that they should head out. He always communicated with Marceline in this kind of derogatory manner, but she didn't mind. They walked the whole way to the kingdom, barely talking, until they had the gates in their sights. Then, him and Marceline nodded to eachother in order to establish that they must turn invisible. Seeing as Marcy, and only Marcy, had an invitation out of the two; they thought it best to just sneak in. Also, Marceline hadn't seen the banana gaurds since the day of the break up and felt it would be very awkward seeing them now that, well, she was with her new boyfriend. Ash pulled out his cherry blossom wand and whispered the word 'Ashicus Invisiblicus ', then appeared out of sight. Because Ash had sold her favorite childhood doll, Hambo, in order to get the wand he was using; Marceline hated seeing him use it. They held hands and entered through side of the castle, simply by just walking through the wall. Just as they were begining to seem more opaque, the vamire queen caught sight of something she deeply wished she could un-see; Gumball, in the middle of the dance floor, krumping. Music was blasting and colorfull lights flooded the room, blinding nearly every guest.

"Oh my god." Marceline uttered in shock.

"So thats your ex-boyfriend huh? I'm gland to see you raise your standards." said Ash in his smart voice.

She gave him a gentle nudge with her elbo then, let go of his hand. Avoiding the dance floor at all costs, they made their way to the small bar that was set up in the corner. Ash ordered some drinks for them and they almost started to chat. Marceline tried to begin the conversation, but the pop music playing in the background was distracting.

"It's not usually this crazy and he's not usually this..." she implied gesturing to Gumballs area.

"Crazy?" Ash finished with a smirk " How did you even get together with him?" he questioned

"We were two different people back then I'm not really..." she trailed off from what she was saying, this was a topic that she hadn't been asked about in a while.

After some time of not talking between them, Ash broke the silence with; "Well, I like you the way you are now." She looked up at him and he began to intertwine their fingers together. Around three hours went by and they had been drinking a lot. Beer went 'round and the dance floor was packed with people. Even the majority of the hot dog kingdom had made an appearence, which was like three hotdog knights. Marceline was feeling a bit light headed and roaring drunk. She needed something like crackers to settle her stomach from all of the beers she drank. She began to dance toward the food table when she noticed that Ash was remaining stationary near the bar. She turned back around to face him.

"You coming?" she questioned, trying to be louder than the blasted tunes.

"Nah, I think I'll try to mingle with these candy fools"

Without another word she hovered to the sweet treats just waiting to be devoured. Marceline was a vampire so she did eat shades of red, but that didn't mean she coudn't crave normal food just like the average Ooian. All this stuff was making her mouth salivate. She lowered herself to the ground and, scanned the elongated table until she spotted a platter of mini sandwhichs. They had ham and cucumbers inside, her favorite combination. It reminded her of when she was with Gumball and would, come over to his house for lunch. They would sit in the royal gardens and just chow down on the pigmy snacks, without a care in the world...

"I put those out just for you." said a far too familiar voice from behind her.

Oh god, she didn't want to confront him. Part of her did thoguh so, she quickly spun on her heels and found herself only inches apart from the face of the Prince. He was a lighter shade of pink then she remembered. And he looked a lot happier.

"Oh," she had no idea what to say "heh." , was the best she could do. She awkwardly blushed, in her head this played out a lot more smoothly. She was very drunk so, it was a combination of her alchohal filled brain and her anxiety with Gumball, that cause her lack of knowing what to do at the moment. God he was attractive though, but he didn't have that rugged look to him anymore. He had most certianly and undeniably, changed. She felt her hands and back side press against the table for support, both physically and mentaly. His face was getting closer to hers  and he said some words that were almost inaudible because of the music that was being played.

"I missed you." he said. And that was it. She couldn' resist.

As his lips pressed onto hers she caved. Making the same effort that he was she attempted to make up for all of there lost time, in this kiss. Her head was really spinning now. He thought he could just fix everything that he did to her with this mesely smooch! Wait but, maybe he did mean to say sorry, ugh! Marceline was so confused, she felt a knot tighten in her stomach. She almost felt like... she was going to vomit. Being as strong as she was, she was easily able to push him back off of her. Yet, she didn't have control of her own strength at the time and he stumbled onto the floor with an astonished look on his face. Almost like he was in disbelief. The same look that she saw on his face when he had hit her, but now the tables had turned.

She couldn't bare to stay at the scene and she bolted. Running towards the bar to retrieve Ash and get the heck outa' there, she found her self in another terrible situation. He was flirting with another girl. GOD! She didn't need to  challenge or antagonize him. She simply walked up behind him, got the nearest drink and poured it on top of his stupid head. He shrugged his shoulders, the way people do when they get covered in liquid. He turned around, looking pissed.

"Rot in hell, you scumbag!!" she yelled into his face.

He was about to say something but she had exited the scene already. She was a bipolar tornado ready to strike, in the best and worst of places.
