Arabella's POV
The light filtered through the blinds in my bedroom, and I woke up with a smile on my face. This was it. The day I finally moved away to pursue my career in Clinical Psychology, starting at the University of Pennsylvania. I couldn't wait! I rushed downstairs to grab my fill of mum's delicious blueberry pancakes before Josh ate them all, skidding to a stop in the kitchen.
"Bella, are you excited for today?" asked mum. Grinning from ear to ear, I replied. "Of course I am! I've been waiting for this day forever, and now it's finally here!" Dad looked at me with a smile. "We're all so proud of you, Arabella. We couldn't be happier about the person you've become, right honey?" Mum nodded proudly. Just then, a whirlwind called Josh stormed into the kitchen, ready to devour the remaining pancakes. Around a mouthful of food, Josh mumbled his excitement about having the first floor to himself now that I was going off to university. I ruffled his hair, laughing as he cringed away from my hand. "I'm going to bring my bags downstairs. Dad, will you help me load them into the car?" I asked.
After struggling to carry everything I needed for university down the stairs, Dad and I just about managed to load it all into the car. Mum and Josh hugged me, and I informed them that it would be a while before I'd be able to come home again. "Mum and dad. Thank you so much for helping me to reach here. I couldn't have done it without all of you." I hugged mum and Josh one more time, then I set off towards my future.

Noah's POV
I was dreaming. The beautiful scent of fluffy blueberry pancakes invaded my senses, and I began to run for the kitchen before they disappeared. As I made my way downstairs, mum was shouting for me to wake up. "I'm pretty sure I'm awake, mum. Can I have some pancakes?" Mum's confused expression mirrored my own, then the silence was broken by the obnoxious sound of my alarm.
I jolted awake, disoriented. My vision focused on my phone, blaring the sound of the alarm. Mum was still yelling for me to wake up from downstairs. After getting dressed, I loaded my bags into the car before settling down with a bowl of cereal. The disappointment I felt over not having pancakes for breakfast was greater than I thought it would be. Mum told me to be quick, as the drive to the University of Pennsylvania would last about two hours. While mum and dad were happy for me, I could tell that the long distance was making them anxious. They made me promise to ring them once a week. I told them I would come home as often as possible. Dad interrupted my train of thought, gesturing for me to say bye to mum. "I'll miss you, mum. I want to thank you and dad for helping me get to this stage. Also, bully Sara for me when she comes back from boarding school." Mum and dad laughed. "We will, Noah. Enjoy yourself, and be careful." I said bye to mum one last time, and then we were off.
