I started roaming around the house exploring. I came to the biggest room, it seemed like a living room, except 10x bigger than its suppose to be. I glanced around and saw many huge books, with at least 3 layers of dust on them. I walked over to examine them. One book which was called: "The Wait" had an envelope sticking out from it. I was debating to take it or not. I heard the rest of my family trampling in, so I quickly shoved the envelope in the sweatshirt pocket. Then I sat on the couch, making it look like I was up to nothing. Dad walked in and asked "Mandi did you unpack already?" I looked at him and said "No. I will do that right now." I slid off the couch and walked to a random bedroom, (Which I found out later was mine.) And started to unpack. My eyes darted around the room making sure no one was here, I took the envelope out of my pocket, and tore it open. Inside the envelope was a small, neatly folded note. And an ancient copper key. I removed both of the items. Should I open the letter first, or examine the key first? I asked myself. Guess it wouldn't hurt to find out what this is all about I said to myself. I unfolded the letter, trying to be careful as I did so. I skimmed the letter trying to figure out what some words meant. After reading it silently I started to whisper-read it.
