The team had just got done with practice as soon as it started to rain. Feint thunder can be heard in the distance as Kenma rushes to get dressed.

Kenma trips over his feet while trying to get his leg into his dark blue skinny jeans and falls on his knees.

Kuroo enters the dressing room while the rest of the team heads back to their houses. "You're in a hurry, got a date?" Kuroo says jokingly.

"Family movie night. I skipped out on the last one so im trying to get there early." Kenma says while he stands back up and puts on his pants. "Besides, shouldnt you be the one in a rush, I heard that girl Mei asked you to the coffee shop today."

Kuroo leans on the wall and stares at the floor. "She canceled, and coffee isnt my forte anyways."

"Says the person always lugging around a giant mug filled with it in the mornings." Kenma said, giving a smirk and heading out of the dressing room.

Kenma started walking home with a gigantic purple umbrella in his hand. He wanted to take out his phone and turn on some music but it was raining so hard the water found its way onto his clothes under the umbrella.

Kenma sighed. He was started to run now because he was drenched in rainwater. His house was just up the road but stopped as soon as something caught his eye.

He looked over into the coffee shop window and there Mei was-

but so was Kuroo

"Why did Kuroo lie?" he thought to himself. I mean after all, it was just a girl. At least to Kuroo it was, but to Kenma...

it hurt.

it hurts.

Kenma found himself clenching his chest while staring at the two laughing together inside of the shop.

"Why am I feeling like this?" Kenma whispered to himself. "I feel so angry and heartbroken... but why?" its not like Kuroo was his boyfriend, even though not a day has passed where Kenma hadnt thought of the matter and really, really wanted it.

Besides, Kuroo was straight.. he would never like Kenma that way.
